Hendon Golf Club

I've played Hendon a few times but not within the last year or so (perhaps 18 months). I was looking forward to it, as Hendon was always beautifully manicured.

However, the greens are pitted (seems the groundsman is struggling to keep up with people not repairing divots) and the fairways are in a similar state.

I understand it's been a dry March, but this was very disappointing.

The front was undergoing some upgrades near the putting green. However, once you tee off the actual course was in absolute great shape. The trees were very well kept! The fairways were green and wide! The greens ran very true. I think it's a must play when visiting London. The staff was quite friendly. Thanks for the memories!

Ample parking. Good warm up facilities. Warm welcome. The course itself was really challenging in a good way. Plenty of variety in length of holes especially the par 3’s. Greens in excellent condition. Would recommend

HGC is a great local london course. The course has undergone some great work over the last few years in terms of playability. Work around the greens and approaches is massively different than compared to a few years ago. Classic parkland course, but challenging more than most. Rewards good tee shots, and punishes the bad ones. Food in the bar and even the halfway house is tasty and relatively cheap compared to others. Highly recommend. I would warn against the bunkers, some are friendlier than others.

Course in fantastic condition. Harry Colt design makes for a great test. Really like the approach areas and fringes round the greens. Greens pure and fast. Great balcony for drink and food afterwards.

Really great layout and in fabulous condition for the first of May. Very walkable, some really challenging tee shots and a great all round course. Had an early tee time and pace of play was great, just a single with singles ahead. Fast greens! Great course

Everyone around course friendly and welcoming. Good condition given time of year.

Nice quite typical North London course in pretty decent condition despite the weather recently. Nicely bunkered and in the winter challenging enough.

Really friendly atmosphere and helpful staff.

In the middle of winter you take what you can get , the course is decent and some of the greens were running well, but some were sandy and we was held up on several holes by greenkeepers working on greens with the pins out. I would have liked to have been informed there was works going on because this made the greens a mixed bag. Bar staff were fantastic. Food was lovely.
