Unplayable Conditions
Course was unplayable today. Standing rain water on tee boxes and fairways. Sand traps all had liners exposed causing hazardous conditions trying to play out of them. Cart paths are dangerous with broken concrete. Accident waiting to happen. This was a premier course years ago but has really gone downhill. Will not be back.
Not What She Used to Be.
St Marlo has really dropped off the table, no longer a "nice choice" - it's average in every way.
Carts are old, range balls look like something from "Tin Cup", pace of play is hampered by walkers, no beverage cart girl on the course and bunkers looked like they had not been raked in days - needless to say, I was disappointed.
Not Again- poor greens and bunkers
For $80 it’s a ripoff! It’s a shame how poorly the greens and bunkers are kept! No sand- playing off bunker liners. The greens are diseased and have black dirt spots throughout the surfaces. T-boxes are struggling to grow grass too.
I would not pay more than $30 to play this course.
Saturday afternoon golf
Just played 9 holes with my son. Course was in decent shape, greens need a lot of work though.
Great course needs help
Great golf course, fantastic layout & facilities, friendly staff.
I love this golf course and layout.
However, course conditions poor, especially greens and teeing areas.
This once great, top 10 golf course in metro Atlanta has deteriorated over the past several
years and needs help in terms of course conditions & maintenance to return it to the course it once
was. Not a great value given price/cost to play given poor course maintenance.
Excellent experience
The course is meticulously maintained, excellent fairways and greens. Challenging layout but playable (from the whites at least...). Friendly staff. Great on course beer cart selections.
Same as it’s been for the last few years
The good is the layout is fun and challenging; the starters are always accommodating in how they pair you and send you out. On the downside…The cart paths remain dangerous, the greens are borderline ok (but not as good as other courses) and there are many areas on the course where you have to take a drop from the poor conditions. Net is that it is worthy of a $40 weekday rate but the course has the potential to be so much better.
Great Conditions
New sand in the bunkers, greens were in great shape. They are rolling really well right now. I highly recommend getting a few rounds in here if you can right now!
Caught behind a group of 3 that was trash. Loved the course layout other than number 9.
Fuzzy greens still true- grass looks great
All though the greens were SLOW yesterday, i imagine they will perfect this weekend- overall in great shape- always enjoy this place
Need to repair
Green needs to be repaired, and the cart path fixed to hold the course.
Southern Hospitality has Died. Proshop staff needs customer service development.
The course played beautifully, but we paid for 2 through Golfpass and attempted to pay for 2 rider’s fee at the Clubhouse. The guy in the pro shop gives an audible sigh and tells us we needed to let them know ahead of time. He stated our party would be in a world of trouble if he didn’t have carts (there were close to 15 carts at the bag drop and it was a 1:00pm tee time). I apologized to him, but let him know we attempted to call 3 times through the week but it went straight to voicemail. Don’t expect to be able to sit down and grab lunch or get a drink at clubhouse at the turn as you are not allowed to disrupt the “pace of play.” Cart girl came once during the round. Nice course but don’t expect any southern hospitality from this establishment.
