Good overall course

Overall i enjoyed the course and look forward to getting out again soon.

I really didn't have any major negatives. They had recently aerated but i knew this before booking so not an issue. The fairways had a few sorts that could use work. But nothing that detracted for the play/experience.

Worth the visit. I will come back

Recommend serious attention

- no carts ready - employees had to scramble to get a half-charged (at best) cart sprayed down and rushed to us so we could start right on time (stressful start to the day).

- no food to serve at bar

- pace of play horrendous (on a Friday) - no attention from starter on course to keep pace moving

- practice greens are in rough shape

IMHO, this is just simply an unacceptable experience for a COUNTRY CLUB with million dollar homes. If “short-staffed” is the reason (excuse) for this level of disorder - then I’d highly recommend ADJUSTING and finding a way to make it work. I (and likely anyone that played that day) will not be returning until I’ve heard from trusted sources things have turned around.

Nice course layout, but that’s about the only positive thing I can honestly say from yesterdays experience.

don't bother

Recently aerated and I got no alert, even on golf now site. Very heavy sand on some greens and very big ragged holes from the aeration. Course is generally over played, but on this day there were a lot of no shows so pace was not bad. I think for the price course should be in better condition-not just the aeration. There are so many unplayable areas that you fear for your clubs or you just move the ball--not how golf should be. I would not consider playing here for at least 6 weeks.

Nice course. Will play here again

First of all they had recently aerated the greens but this was known to me and i found them perfectly playable.

Overall it was a good experience. No issues. I like the layout.

Fairways were a bit tight so I used my fairway woods more than driver.

Good value.

Well run course

I just dont like the layout. Lots if blind shots, dog legs, and weird break up in the course requiring a lay up approach on most holes. Everything else was great, they do a great job running the place.

Greens were aerated and sanded so it was terrible

I hated the greens as they just aerated and sanded. It was like putting the ball on the beach. Wish they had charged appropriately for that.

Fun course, #9 is a tough one.

Course was in great condition except for 14 which has a mole problem. Greens were relatively fast considering the amount of rain recently. Cart path only when we played and our pace was right at 4:20.

#9 is a great hole and extremely challenging

I made a reservation for June 2nd. But for no reason, he gave me an email stating that the company could be canceled and the money would be refunded. I feel bad for some reason

Great course

Great layout and beautiful as always.

Course conditions continue to need improvement as have deteriorated over the past few years but still a good golf course. Fun to play, challenging and aesthetically pleasing, especially when conditions good.

St. Marlo

Course isn’t bad. But the cart paths are horrendous. They charge to much to play there. There’s no reason that course should be $70 for a round. And I don’t see where they are putting the money? Bunkers are trash, cart paths are continuously messed up, certain areas have like no grass which is understandable for cheaper courses but when youre charging $70-90 it should be in good shape.

Decent course; slightly overpriced.

Needs some course conditioning and cart paths are awful. Group had one cart with no locking brake - serious safety issue. Starter was simply unwelcoming - should be picking balls on the range and not interacting with guests. Fair price should be about $75 so a bit overpriced. Bottom line just OK, not sure it warrants keeping in my normal rotation.
