Hansen Dam Golf Course

Course was in good condition, the greens were in good condition but hard to figure out the break and speed. But all was good

Whilst being in LA for work at Burbank, I wanted to get some golf in and booked an early tee time at Hansen Dan

The Green Fee was only $33 including Buggy and I was joined on the first tee by 3 other golfers

The course was in good order and the holes were varied with some challenging Par 4's and 5's.

Some stunning scenery and crossing over to the 10th and passing the Dam was spectacular.

Overall I enjoyed my round at Hansen Dam and met some great guys to play with.

Here are my thoughts on Two aspects that would help improve the Golf Club

1. By adding in a Tee box the clubhouse side of the Dam to then hit over would add to the experience (You might lose a few balls that could be collected in a net in the channel) Re sold as Lake Balls

2. Pitch Mark Repairers - I was surprised that the Club shop did not sell these and unfortunately a lot of players who play here are oblivious to repairing a pitch mark. The greens are fantastic and a pleasure to put on running true with lots of breaks. The issue being the 20-30 pitch marks on every green that no one repairs. The players need to be educated but if they can't buy or be given a Repair tool what chance have you got.

Worth every penny. Played while it was raining so round was lightning fast.

It’s a good course and a good value for your money

I enjoyed the course. The greens were good and fast.

Probably my third or fourth time playing Hansen Dam. The course was in good shape. Greens were fast and rolled true. Only downside was on the back nine we ended up in a log jam so overall it took us 4 hours and 45 minutes to finish 18 which is just too slow. That’s the first time I’ve experienced a pace of play issue at Hansen though. Other than that it was a fun round.

I played this course 4 times in a row. Love it. The track is awesome. Very challenging greens to read. However, there tends to be lots of beginners and they could benefit from having a marshall to keep pace of play. I've seen people drive on greens/tee boxes. Could upgrade the bar/restaurant well. Seems neglected.

As I walked in the guy from the cart barn said I bring a few carts around. The guy at the desk said that h is couldn’t need them. I proceeded to check in, he told me that the cart fees were additional on top of what we’d paid online. Cool, no problem. Paid, then asked for 2 keys one for each of us. he said no, you have to ride together. I said well I just paid for Two carts. He said, that is not how it works handed me one key and told me I was up next.

Left confused, wondering why he was blatantly trying to work me out of 16 bucks on a county course.
