It’s fine for a neighborhood course - not a destination
Positives: no houses in play, some interesting holes, great price with the hot deal+GN points+monthly credit. Laid back local playing partners.
Negatives: greens were as shaggy as I’ve ever played. Patchy in places, long everywhere, inconsistent speed.
Overall, better than not golfing! But we won’t recommend it to friends traveling to the SD metro.
Good value, good scenery, bad greens
Good value, good scenery on the back nine, bad greens. They're really bumpy right now; need to be rolled. I'm sure they're doing their best to keep everything as good as it's gonna get, and I don't think this course will ever hold firm, fast greens. TONS of ball marks due to the spongy soft conditions. The fairways, rough and collars are lush though. The strong afternoon winds at twilight and sun in your face on the back nine finish make it a awesome challenge and worth keeping it in the rotation. The range has free Trackman monitors and good balls & mats. The snackbar has good local taps and quick grab & go dogs, chips, burgers or post round meal options. Only restroom at clubhouse and I think a portapotty on 15 tee.
Course wet in some locations but playable, pace little slower on back nine but still under 41/2 hrs.started as a twosome but teamed up with another twosome on the ninety because of catching up on the ninety, but over all fine
Late afternoon finished before sunset
We played late due to a decent price from GN.
Course was in excellent condition and played well.
Solid Course
Played a few rounds at The Vineyard. Generally a nice course, especially given how packed it is every time I've played. Nice range and practice areas but I've had to wait for a bay more than once and its a big range. Not the courses fault, but still something to keep in mind if visiting for some practice. Worth the visit for sure!
Fun round
Course in good shape, people I played with fun people back 9 played a little slower but ok
Best round in years
Golf is always better when you play well, one over par on the front nine!
Course had just had a tournament so pretty open shooting.
Great conditions, friendly staff, no cart girl but OK
Great conditions
Fairways and greens are in excellent. Can’t wait to come back and play again.
Greens are in great shape
Had a discount on rate, usually closer to 45. This has become one of my go to courses and enjoy it a lot. They have cut back a lot of the overgrowth on some holes giving you opportunities to be more aggresive if you want. Worth every penny.
This place used to be so nice...
I played here years ago and it was Great! I was extremely disappointed this time and won't be going back. The greens were terribly slow (my home course 10 miles away is running at at 12 these are running at like a 6) The greens had not been cut and rolled in a while and the pin's had not been cut in weeks. I have never seen the cup overgrown on all sides where it makes the cup an inch smaller.
The course and driving range are Always busy! Where is the money going because it's not going into the golf course!?!
