The Vineyard at Escondido

I like the course and the layout. I played from the White tees and was able to score well. the only gripes i have are the bunkers, which are like concrete, the greens, which are a little too slow and I did not see any rest rooms on the course. Overall, I'd recommend the course.

Staff is friendly, but needs someone to pay more attention to tee times. Course was backed up with no marshal in site. Staff was sending people out with hardly no lag time In between. There’s no excuse for a 5 1/2 hr. Round. Had to wait on every hole. Course bunkers were horrible. Fairways were dry!! This was one of my favorite courses.

Bad fairways with large dirt areas especially 9. Bunkers mostly gravel. Greens were hairy. Poor tees. Penal course with water, hazards and ob in play on most holes. Bad combination with poor course conditions. Terrible value.

I enjoyed the entire day. The course was nice, the people were friendly, and the price was right. Definitely going back!!

Fairways had lots of dirt patches. Bunkers were mostly gravel. Tees weren’t mowed well—grass was too long. Greens were hairy and bumpy. Course is narrow and penal with water, bunkers and ob in play on many holes. Not acceptable with such poor conditions.

Good course design. Nice greens that hold good approach shots. But there are large bare areas on the fairways and the bunkers are the worst I’ve ever seen. There is no sand in them; they are hard dirt. I won’t be playing this course again until I hear that they have put some sand in their bunkers.

Course is a traditional green to tee layout, so walkable. It’s a somewhat challenging course with nice views. The greens were in nice shape, but the fairways were pretty bad. Lots of bare spots and dried out. The bunkers need sand/maintenance as well; really are dirt bunkers. Also we started behind a threesome which became a foursome and then a five some who thought they were on the pga tour; very slow. Overall, a nice challenge for the money, but they have to fix the fairways.

The course is amazing as always, great clubhouse, best hot dogs in all of San Diego county! The place of play was awf, group of 4 in front playing from the blues and they clearly shouldn’t have been! They were so slow, the group I. Front of them was 3 holes ahead! Ugh
