Nice Course that needs work
Course is a traditional green to tee layout, so walkable. It’s a somewhat challenging course with nice views. The greens were in nice shape, but the fairways were pretty bad. Lots of bare spots and dried out. The bunkers need sand/maintenance as well; really are dirt bunkers. Also we started behind a threesome which became a foursome and then a five some who thought they were on the pga tour; very slow. Overall, a nice challenge for the money, but they have to fix the fairways.
Great shape! Terrible pace of play
The course is amazing as always, great clubhouse, best hot dogs in all of San Diego county! The place of play was awf, group of 4 in front playing from the blues and they clearly shouldn’t have been! They were so slow, the group I. Front of them was 3 holes ahead! Ugh
Some to the fairways need work
Overall a good day, however I play this course often and clearly many of the fairways are in need of work and maintenance. There are areas, like the fairway on #9 in mid ranch that are simply just dirt.
Course condition was poor
I play here once a year with a friend when I come to San Diego to visit family. It has always been a great course no matter the time of year. This time the course was burnt out and not much grass in the fairways. But don’t get off the fairways because it is spotty and lots of bald bumpy spots. The greens were in good shape and receptive. Many of the bunkers were hard and not well maintained and people in general are not raking after they were there. Overall I love this course but don’t want to play it again in the current conditions.
Love the layout
Always a challenge off the tee and having acceded to my rapidly arriving 70th birthday, even played the whites (and matched the youngsters, when I hit the fairways)
The drought is taking it's toll and a whole lot of rain would really help all of our local courses, except Torrey, of course.
Great layout. Plenty challenging. Very scenic. But greens weren’t mowed for our 11:40 tee time. Sand traps were in poor condition. Too much bare ground in fairways.
Terrible! Worst I have seen
Clearly, it shows no takes care of the course. Green was bad. Fairway was dirt.
A Fun Place to Golf
The course is in good condition. I wish the pace was better, but it was fun.
