Lake Spivey Golf Club

Greens are in nearly unplayable condition. Hole 7 is closed completely and the 19th hole they replaced it with is aweful.

Great course layout but the greens are in terrible shape. Need to close the course for a bit and fix

Greens are in horrible shape otherwise the fairways are in good shape tee boxes could use some help

The clubhouse didn’t have much of anything to pick from. The greens were terrible.

I have played here a few times the last year and the greens were really bad last year but were making a nice comeback this year. Me and my friends started coming back out and really became confident in the improvements. Unfortunately, my last day playing here will be my last ever. Was looking forward to my round and found the greens to be back in horrible condition AGAIN! Don't know who is managing that place but definitely not worth the money for such horrible conditions.

Greens were horrible there should have been a discount.

Course could be much better if the greens were in good shape. Greens are very very poor.

I’ve been playing at Spivey for a long time but I cannot go back anymore. I played on 8/17 and the greens were so bad I did not putt. The course was pretty empty so I played 2 balls and whenever I got to the green I just picked up and moved on. Was supposed to play 18 but just did 9 as conditions were terrible.

Staff was nice and actually gave me free range balls which was great, but $51 to not even really be able to play golf is bad.

I’ll be back again but probably not for a year to see if they can fix it

The greens on the front 9 are abhorrent to say the least. Completely furry and visually unappealing. You can putt on them but it's not true by any means. The back 9 got better but the greens as an overall are pathetic. A $51 ticket to play trash greens is 👎🏾👎🏾

just dont go unless they fix the greens… worst course in atl right now

I was just making sure my clubs were going the right distance and my swing plane was correct.

Course Greens were in need of care. Weeds growing on greens. Some tee boxes was a challenge getting your tee in the ground.

Poor conditions all around. Green in very poor condition. Tees boxes like concrete. Looks like course hasn’t been maintained in a while

Lake Spivey used to be my favorite course. I’d drive an extra 20 minutes to play there vs a closer, more local course. Then, a few years ago, all the greens got burned out. It seems like they’ve been trying to recover ever since. But they either don’t have the money or the tools or the knowledge to restore the greens.

Their greens are like cross creek in Atlanta. You have to play expecting the putting to almost not even feel like it’s part of the round.

The layout is so challenging with a great variety of risk reward shots. Reachable par 5s. Even a drivable par 4. A par three with water in the front and right of the green.

I hope the local golfing community rallies around Lake Spivey and encourages the ownership/leadership to restore this course to playable conditions on the greens.

Spivey Lake is a short drive from central Atlanta. The golf course is a fantastic design/layout however the current course condition is poor. The greens could do with an intervention many are riddled with crab-grass.
