Lake Spivey Golf Club

The course could use mowing. The greens were not in the best of shape. I have seen this course in much better shape and a joy to play.

Played here many years ago and always thought it was a fun layout but conditions were just very subpar. Read the reviews posted here amongst many being improvements, good greens etc so gave it a shot. Arguably the worst track I’ve played in metro Atlanta this year for the price. Fairways were in terrible shape, not cut, couldn’t differentiate between most fairways and the rest. Greens were in rough shape, tons of overgrown weeds, was like putting on pavement. #5 they are redoing the whole green after my drive didn’t see a pin drove up and said it was closed, would have been nice if someone at the pro shop said something. Lack of amenities, has a nice bar area but was closed. Not worth the price their charging right now. Very disappointed

I understand that at times everything is not perfect.

But the fairways looked horrible, either not well maintained or the areas that were cut had dead grass all around. Bar is closed.

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were cut to perfection.

The course conditions was very good, the greens were in good shape, the fairways were good shape also with about two inc inches of rough. The overall condition of the course was very good.

This course is one of my favorite places to play , right now it's in great shape .definitely worth a look if your planning an outing soon..

My experience at this course.

1. Driving range was mostly dirt.

2. Grill was closed all day. There were plenty of staff members around, yet the grill never opened.

3. Tee boxes were very hard and many lacked decent grass to tee up or drop the ball. Weeds were plentiful.

4. Fairways were long and had many bare spots on all holes. On some holes it was hard to tell where the fairway ended and the rough began.

5. Greens had bare spots and grass left on them from the morning cut. This was consistent on almost all greens.

6. Pace of play was very slow. The marshal was no where to be seen after he left the club house. At the turn I made the started and pro-shop aware of the slow play and they said to expect a six hour round on the weekends.

7. Overall disappointed.

good course, greens are coming, when they do it will be a great course. fairways need a bit of water, some places are hard as a rock

Greens were fluffy, wet and slow due to recent rains, fairways hadn't been cut in a week or so, leaving to weedy and fluffy fairways. Group including the course managers, ahead of us, held up pace of play with novice golfers, otherwise staff was great.

One of my favorite courses in metro Atl. but course in much need of a lot of TLC . Fairways infested with weeds, tee boxes neglected, greens need mowing. Hope current management brings this course back to its former status.

The course is in excellent shape and fun to play. The greens were also in excellent shape but could be cut a little lower. They were super slow. I will definitely play it again.
