Lake Spivey Golf Club

This used to be a really nice course. It has great potential. Unfortunately the greens are in horrible shape. They need to hire a real superintendent.

They have let the course go downhill fast. Shaggy or beat up or diseased greens. Out of control ruff that has not been cut in some time and to top it off the finishing hole is infested with geese and their poop all over the green. Impossible to put without rolling over geese poop. Also, with 20+ geese on the green it takes luck to not hit one with a ball. Absolutely one of the worst maintained courses in Atlanta.

First off $60 for this course is horrible. Sand of every single green but one and the grass on the green was overgrown and very inconsistent. I’m very fair when it comes to this stuff but this course made me write a bad review which is a first, it was that bad. Many better options

The greens were unplayable. Should not be charging full price in this condition.

Have always loved playing Lake Spivey and have really enjoyed how it’s changed over the years. It’s a hidden gem on the Southside. Great course to play during the week, you can get around quickly while being challenged with the layout.

The course conditions particularly the greens and bunkers are absolutely horrendous.

I would recommend this golf course to anyone I’ve been playing here since 2014. Every course has it ups and downs, but Lake Spivey continues to be one of my go to.

First time playing here so expected something a little nicer.

Layout of the course was good/ greens were in bad shape (which I was not aware of)/some additional signage for holes would be nice/didn’t see any yardage markers , if they are there-not marked good enough.

For the money this time- it wasn’t bad but before I would go back- would look elsewhere first.

Course is in horrible shape. Should have looked at reviews before going. Have not played there in many years, so that was my fault for booking online.

Good course for players who are just starting in golf

Good course for beginners. Only problem was evening staff interrupted us on 18th fairway to exit course because they were closing up.
