Lake Spivey Golf Club

Tee boxes were terrible, looked like no one had moved the tees in years, several of the tee boxes had weeds above your ankles. Fairways were not cut and had weeds all over them, knee high in some places. Greens were actually ok and had been cut that morning, you could tell because clippings were everywhere, guy didn’t know what he was doing mowing the greens or hadn’t mowed them in a while, cups were beaten up pretty good and you could tell they haven’t moved the cups in quite some time. Bunkers were full of rocks and barely any sand, not playable. Clubhouse staff were nice and the clubhouse was nice with clean bathrooms. This course used to be premier back in its day but until they undergo new management or ownership I will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone. I have played private clubs and public clubs…the current course conditions make the playing experience not worth the money.

Course needs some work, fairways and tee boxes were not

In good condition. Staff was friendly, driving range felt like I was hitting from the rough. Could be a good course with more effort. Greens were a little slow, but in good condition.

The grass need to be cut, bad greens, especially the tea boxes and some of the fairways on the side

The course was in horrible condition been playing Spivey for years and I have never seen it like this. Greens slow and bumpy the fairways had weeds all in them and has not been cut. Something going on here. If you are going to leave course like this drop the prices please.

The greens ran very slow in the morning due to the rain we had Friday and early Saturday, the greens just need to get cut a few times so the ball can roll, felt like I had to really give the ball some power to get it to roll 12 yards. Tee boxes were pretty much all sand, need to move the tees to allow new growth. I’ll def play this again to give a better review.

The course was ok. Most of the greens were really nice. A few had bad spots on them. Tee boxes were not good with lots of trash and hard ground. Fairways were ok. For the hot deal price I would play again but not for full price.

Great and fun course to play at. The staff were awesome and friendly. Had a good number of holes with bodies of water, which made it both beautiful and challenging. Pace was a bit slow because of the group of beginners ahead of us but the course overall was very well kept and pristine. The only negative feedback I have was the cart path - it's due for maintenance. I ended up wearing my coffee instead of drinking while on the cart path to the next hole.

Bar restaurant not open. Gentleman running the front was on a personal call the entire time I was trying to check in. The tee boxes where dirt, around the greens was just crab grass and the greens where just grass cut low. It was like putting on a shag carpet. Worst course in a 50 mile radius.

The tees were terrible. Greens were not mowed and unreliable. Fairways were ok. As you are driving to the course, the neighborhood was beautiful so you expect a similar experience at the course. The course should reflect the area it is in and it lacked the expectation of a quality course. With a little bit of love and attention, could be a jewel but until then wouldn’t recommend a return.

Lake Spivy Golf Course is an excellent choice for a golf outing! The course has appropriate challenges for both newer and experienced golfers. The staff is courteous and friendly. I enjoy playing the Lake Spivy ⛳ Golf Course.
