Lake Spivey Golf Club

Great course, nice layout, tough greens in great shape. Got deal on golfnow.com which was good price, right on par for course. I’ve seen rates for regular price which I feel is a little over priced for what you get. Driving range was out of order, carts where completely wet and our cup holders and pockets were flooded with water, no more GPS in carts like before. I feel for $40 it’s perfect price, for normal rates a bit to much. Do some simple fixes to above statements than you can charge your normal rates.

The course was in rough shape. Drainage issues on 5 or 6 holes. Aerated greens and no earring. Thin layer of sand on top of red clay in bunkers. The carts had good power and GPS (that was good). For $50 bucks I would not recommend it.

Arrived 40 minutes early, only to be told the range is shut down. Turns out they were collecting balls by hand but we had to wait so long for them to do so that we ran out of time. The practice green was so incredibly bad that I didn't even bother trying to putt. On top of that, the course was recently aerated but there was no warning beforehand or discount given. I CERTAINLY would not have paid $45 and driven 40 minutes to play here had I known. The course was absolutely packed but we were assured the pace was decent. False -- our round lasted 5 hours. This is the kind of place that when you hit a drive in the fairway, you pray that it lands on a decent patch of grass. Heck, you're better off aiming for the rough. My cart was dying at the turn, which based on other reviews seems to be a theme for this place. The cherry on top was the fact that my girlfriend got hit with a drive after the folks behind us drove into us because of the packed course conditions. The influx of COVID golfers has been hard on courses and this place is no exception. It is not in good shape at all, and it's clear that none of the extra income from these inflated greens fees is being put toward course maintenance. Summer is going to be very hard on this place. The only redeeming thing about this course is the marshal; he's very professional and tries his best to prep you for the long, unenjoyable round ahead.

No food service, restaurant closed due to Covid I assume. Greens newly aerated. No warning, no greeb fee reduction. Hope it gets better soon.

Green is too small and sandy. This course needs maintenance.

Restaurant and bar were completely closed. In comparison to all other courses I play around Atlanta every weekend this was disappointing. I think they had just rolled the greens too and the groundskeeper had pin placements on three holes where it was impossible to stop a downhill or side hill putt around the hole. I had putts roll off the green. I play 60-70 times a year and am pretty comfortable getting green speeds down on any course but there was no way to make a 2 putt if you were above the hole. They are either trying to be cute or really don’t know what they are doing with speed and pin placement. This wasn’t on all holes but definitely came into play on the two Par-3s on the front 9 and again on number 18. Not sure if I will go back.

Maybe I missed the fine print but this course should not be charging even $15 to play. Greens were like putting in sand traps. Terrible.

This course is getting worse... Drainage is non existent. Also, golf carts are not well maintained

The 10th hole is a muddy mess always... most of the course doesn’t drain well. I recommend not playing this course unless there have been 3-4 days without rain
