Desert Island Country Club

Course was immaculate. Very pleasing to the eye.

We were informed that the bar and kitchen were closed for a wedding. However, drinks and snacks were available on the course. We saw the cart lady on the fourth hole and then never again. Disappointing when you’re paying $175/round.

Beautiful course, terrific people, impeccably conditioned course, warm and sunny day. A delightful 4 hours.

Played a mid-day round at Desert Island on a Friday. Greens were bumpy, and the group of bros in front of us hit two tee shots on every other hole, so we had to wait on almost every shot. Never saw a marshall on course. Kitchen closed for a private event on day of play. No sandwiches left in pro shop at the turn or available on course. Staff was courteous and professional but there are much better courses in the Coachella Valley for the price.

Great condition

The staff were excellent. My wife was given a putting tip from the starter and she putted great. The course was in very good shape. Greens were excellent fairways and tee boxes in very good condition. We will be back. Thank you DI.

Course was in decent shape for this time of year. Greens were slow but smooth. Fairways were perfect. Traps were horrible. No water on course. No beer cart. No ball washers. But still a lot of fun.

Course is okay and in good shape. But for the money they could add some club/ball washers, have a beverage cart and clean the dead geese out of the ponds.

Apparently, the course had been closed for a couple of months prior our arrival. It looked like a course that had no play - the course was like new!

Staff were friendly and helpful. I would come back; can’t say that about the other courses we played this week.

Even though the course is getting ready for overfeeding, it was still in good condition and very enjoyable. The weather is starting to cool down and the pace of play was okay at 4 hours. We had some waiting here and there but overall the pace was okay. The only issue I had was a few drunk guys yelling with every swing.

We really enjoyed the track and pace of play. There were no water stations functioning on the front 9 and in this heat (114) that was ridiculous. The restaurant was closed. They only had food and drinks in a fridge at the beginning, 9 hole and end. No on course beverage cart. Ask for a cold cloth before you golf because they didn’t offer. The limited staff (2) had to do everything. They were very polite.

I will try the course again when it’s not summer before I can evaluate the course.

Overall the course was nice. You really had to try hard to lose a ball. The greens were very slow. I’m from Maryland and I’m not use to this grass here on the west coast. That has nothing to do with the course though.

Chose this course to play glad we did ..course was in great shape ,nice variety of holes playred in 3 hours. Cart attendant Jose does a great job at customer service.
