Desert Island Country Club

I’ve played DI approximately 10 times this past year. The course is in the worst shape I’ve seen it. On top of that we rolled up to the 10th tee to find the starter told a twosome to jump in between us yet front seemed pretty open. There was already a two hole back up and these jokers were playing from the tips and didn’t find a fairway the whole back 9 waiting from 300 out for the foursome ahead to clear the green. When I complained post round the starter simply said sorry those were my members. Won’t be back. I’ve golffed 70 rounds this year and there are far better course, far better staff, fare better on/off course amenities.

Our first time here, great value and a really nice track. On course and pro shop staff very friendly and courteous. Definitely would play here again.

The greens were slow but the fairways were in great shape. The course was challenging with tight fairways an a good amount of trees. The staff was very friendly. Wish they offered drinks on the course. None of the restaurants were open either.

This was great, hard but not too hard. Good long par 5's. Plenty of bunkers and water obstacles. I especially like the island shot on one of the holes. Definitely recommend and can't wait to play it again. 🤟👌

My son and I really enjoyed the course and staff that helped us. Fairways were perfect, however the greens were unforgivingly slow.

Overall great course. Greens were extremely slow and needed some attention. Would definitely play again.

Probably because it’s Sept, the greens were mediocre and one of the holes was under construction but overall good/challenging course.

First time in Palm Springs. Great course. Fairway and greens perfect. Hot 100+ by the time we ended but that is why few people at this time of the year. Played with my wife and no one added to our time. never had anyone behind us. Staff very friendly. Grill had been closed since June but ate off site anyway. Will play again.

Fun place for a casual round of golf. Course was in great shape but the grass on the greens was a little long. Staff is great and locker room and driving range were nice as well. I enjoyed the old school Palm Springs vibes this course has. Can’t wait to come back and play again!

Overall a very nice course and a very friendly staff.

Very few people were out playing on a hot day-after-Labor Day-Tuesday. Most or all were singles and pace of play was extremely fast. Good cart and course was in super shape with excellent greens, fairways, rough, tees and traps despite +100F temperatures. Club house was closed for summer so no place to have a drink or lunch after the round but attendants were kind and made sure there was ample cold drinking water and ice. Layout is fairly compact with many parallel fairways, lots of tall old trees and water hazards. The 9th and 18th holes are memorably challenging. Ninth tee shot plays to a landing area surrounded by water. Pond separating 18th fairway from the green needs a good close look -- don't make invalid assumptions.
