Pleasant course
A pretty nice course. Well maintained, couple of odd holes. Facility is a dated private course so the building is functional but tired. Biggest complaint; carts did not have GPS (and distance markets were in short supply).

we were in Palm Desert for 8 days- there were never any tee times available between 8am and 1:30 pm. the prices have more than doubled in the last two years-- good for you guys-- but reserving all the tee times for residents and members only will come back to bite you in the rear-- I know our trip next year will not be to the Cochella Valley..

The course is narrow and a on the short side with undulating greens, it was in good condition and the service was excellent and friendly.

Don’t understand why this course requires carts to come in a whole hour before sunset! Greens were sanded and rough, some holes very quirky!

Very enjoyable
The course was in great condition. The layout was nice and while there were a few tough holes it was very playable. The pace of play was decent and our foursome came in under 4 hours. The back nine slowed us down as people stopped for snacks and drinks. Their restaurant was art deco but vey tastefully done. The menu was eclectic and a bit expensive but we even came back again just to eat. Their ninth hole bar was very nice. We played this toward the end of our trip otherwise we would have played it again.

Very nice course. I wish I had known that Desert Island Golf is now known as The S at Rancho Mirage. It would have made it easier to find the course on my Watch via GokfShot App for scoring and distances.
