Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - South/West
About
Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa offers 27 holes of championship golf. Divided into three nines: North, South, and West, the courses are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/West Course enjoys the snow-capped Mount Jacinto as a backdrop. Thousands of palm trees cover the rolling terrain and there are six lakes that come into play throughout all three courses. There are also strategically placed bunkers along the greens. The West nine's third hole is possibly the golf course's toughest. It's lengthy at 645 yards and it presents a challenging third-shot approach to an elevated, double-tiered green. The layout offers a few challenging holes but it is still quite player-friendly. In addition to the scenery and playability, another attractive quality is that a round can be played in less than four hours.

Great track.
Course in very good shape for off season. Greens rolling true. Interesting hole designs and layouts. Great value for money.
Rancho las Palmas
Rode the Blacks on all three 9's mid day in less than 5H on a GN "Hot Deal". Low 100's, sunny and fairly calm. Course very playable but they definitely need to be watering the greens more. Getting crusty.
Tees lush and well maintained for divots.
Fairways lush and nice to play from.
Rough mostly lush and thick but still good POP rough, not overly tall.
Sand traps had decent sand but were too uneven and crusty.
Greens putted medium slow speed and held irons with some run out. Firm and Summer Bermuda bumpy. West 9 had been punched with small tines.
Customer Service excellent all around. Cart staff is excellent. Well stocked pro shop. No drink cart, but there was an open snack stand at the turn. Single rider carts @ no extra charge. Carts have GPS to the F/C/B of greens. Grass range was okay with complimentary range balls. Recommended.
Nice Course
Enjoyed playing the golf course with my son and a friend!!!
Beautiful course
This is a beautiful course with 3 nine holes. It is challenging for me but still playable and fun.

Rode the Blacks on all three 9's mid day in 5H, 10M. Played with Cameron for all 27 holes and we had George with us for a few holes. Low 100's, sunny and fairly calm.
Tees lush and well maintained.
Fairways lush/firm, mostly nice to play from.
Rough mostly lush and thick but not overly tall. Still somewhat penal.
Sand traps had decent sand and were okay.
Greens putted medium speed and held irons with a little run out. Firm and getting middle of the summer Bermuda bumpy and slower each visit.
Course very playable but definitely transitioning to summer and not peak conditions. Single rider carts @ no extra charge. Carts have GPS to the F/C/B of greens. Customer Service excellent all around. Well stocked pro shop. No drink cart, but there was a snack stand at the turn. Grass range was okay with complimentary range balls. Recommended.

Cheap round on a decent course
Does not compete with the top public courses in the area, but it’s a great option if you want to have a little fun without spending a lot.
Great day
First time playing the course . I’ll definitely be back. A great course for the price. Just keep it out of the rough !!!
Slooooowwwwww
The course starts with a big tree blocking out golfers that cut or slice their ball. I figure that is about 80% of the golfers. Its also what I would consider a blind shot. Not a very good way to start someones round. The first 3 holes are in a wash so those kinds of holes are usually not as well manicured. These were no exception. You couldnt easily identify the fairway. The greens I liked through the 5 holes I played before I quit. 2 hours seemed like a lot of time to play 5 holes on a summer afternoon with an almost empty parking lot. The staff was very nice. The course does look better than it has in the past. I read other reviews about the pace of play at this course. I should have stayed away. Without a marshall this course is not a good value at any price. With a Marshall its a $50 course during the season.
