divots around the greens
This is not a knock on the facility but more on the players that play at JTG. There are way too many divots all around the green surface and near the cups. Players need to learn etiquette around the greens so that all have a chance to score well.
Not worth it
The guy behind the counter had 3 people waiting in line to be rung up and he was more interested in speaking to someone on the phone, not even glancing at us to acknowledge us. The greens were too fast, fairways not differentiated from the rough. It seems they haven’t properly mowed the please in ages. There’s other places you can play and get better value for your money. I’m def not coming back. The layout is confusing. The holes are hard to find, it doesn’t have a normal intuitive flow. Money not well spent
Tee box markers
The red, white, blue tee box markers could use a fresh coat of paint just to make them pop! but that is a minor detail to an already great place to play. Keep up the good work JTG !
This course was fun to play.
Returning to playing golf after 14 year layoff, I played my best game.
With some TLC this would be a good one
ONLY FRONT 9 IS OPEN. The back 9 is closed due to flooding. Course needs a lot of TLC especially the greens. The ball cleaners weren't even filled with water and looked like trash cans at all holes haven't been emptied for days. This used to be a nice clean course when George was running it. Hopefully they can get it back to what it used to be. This is a perfect course to practice short iron game. Will return in couple of months to see if any progress.
Greens are in great shape!
The course is in the best shape that I have seen in a long time. The greens are quick, and they normally a little shaggy. The maintence crew has been doing a great job, as the last couple of times I have played here, the greens have been great, the fairways manicured, and the kind have been moved to different spots. They used to keep the pins in the same spots all the time. Great job Jack Tone Golf. Keep it up!
it's getting better every time
it's coming back everybody you know with the Stanislaus River coming up and flooding last year this poor old River Course took a beating on the back nine but with a lot of hard work
It's getting better all the time big thanks for the groundskeepers
I do miss some of the trees and some I don't miss
Nice Course
Nice par 62 course. A few spots still getting back in shape from last years floods, but the course is in overall good condition. Perfect for my wife and I to play. Very nice employees.
