Pace of play
We were told of 2 groups of 4some ahead of us but it appears there is no Marshall to enforce pace of play. We had to wait longer on every hole.
Very disappointed
Its always a good day when you can be out on the course but this was a horrible experience from the get go when we arrived. No carts available so we had to wait till one was returned, washed and dried for each group in front of us till we got one. (30 min delay) Then once we were able to tee off.... it was a dead stop at every hole, every shot. the conditions were not those of a semi private CC or any type of of CC in my opinion. It was maybe a step above playing some of the worst public courses around. It was not much better!! Save your money and time and play elsewhere. This round was one that early on, you know you will never return!
Good course layout
Tee time was booked for 12PM but somehow a group of 3 ended up hitting at our time 12PM. This group got us behind the whole front nine. What is the point of booking If they will allow anybody to just jump in? Having to wait every hole 10-15 minutes was somewhat upsetting. By all means i'm not a great player but I know when to pick up my ball and move on to the next hole. We got behind the whole front 9. I was there to relax but at a good pace. The course was in good condition, I like the layout. Greens roll great.
The golf course did not maintained well .
The course did not maintained well , it was muddy and dusty .
18 different holes
Better bring your A-game. Water hazard snakes all throughout the course and some holes you have to cross it twice. Most second shots are uphill to wildly breaking greens. Being in the correct quadrant is important.
Overall, good weather , good course, and good staff make for a good day
I used to play whenever I found time outside of work, but having recently retired I am playing once a week with an old friend. We were tired of playing the same course every time and are looking for new courses to play each week. to test our games.
Great course at unbelievable price
The greens were well kept and very fast. Layout was challenging but fun to play. Overall, it is too good to be true.
This is become a glorified public course
I grew up playing this course when it was strictly private. The course conditions were generally very good and the layout was challenging. I have played it now twice since they started allowing public play. The first time was several months ago and it still seemed pretty decent. This last time I played it, I was still happy with the layout, however, the condition of the course has deteriorated. They don’t even seem to care enough to put water in their ball washers on the course and when I mentioned there was a toilet seat missing from the men’s bathroom I was told it’s been that way for quite a while . I still think the course was worth playing just dont go with high expectations for the amenities around the course if I were a member the things I mentioned would be extremely unacceptable
this is a glorified public course
I played this course growing up and still think it’s one of the best layouts in the Riverside area. That being said, I thought the condition of the course was average for a public course, but will below standard for a private course. I told the staff as I was leaving if I remember, I would be very upset with the fact that none of the ball washes on the course had water in them or a towel. The men’s bathroom at the snack shack is missing toilet seat and had been for a long time. It appears the ownership at this course is more interested in just making money from public players than taking care of the members Overall, I would teach a good value for a public course but would be very difficult for me to recommend somebody to join this place unless they decide to treat more like a private course
Great value
Challenging course with beautiful fairways and challenging greens.
Nice golf course
Nice golf course some challenging holes, greens very good shape and fast, fairways where pretty good.
Ruff just off fairways tuff to hit out of, stay down the middle.
Second time we have been there will go back
Good Local Course
I was visiting CA and played a few courses. This is a a good local course to play and good price/value for the money. The starter was very friendly and kept things moving.
However, there are much nicer, and more expensive, courses to play in the Southern CA area. I drove about 40 mins and would not do it again. If I was 10-15 away, and wanted to play an inexpensive course, this would be a candidate.
The course was in good shape and not too difficult.
Harder Than It Looks
I was pleasantly surprised by this course. This is a short course with that is fairly straight forward. There is a few doglegs and elevation changes but overall not a lot of trouble, or so it seems.
The real challenge. Comes from. The narrow fairways, fast greens, and thick rough. The type of glass in the rough is very grabby and sponge like. The greens roll true and are much faster than they look. You add a little break and the greens become very challenging. It will be interesting to see how I do when I return. I normally shoot between 75 and 82. I shot 46-43-89 and that was from the white.
The course is only 6500 from the tips but the narrow look oof the tee and the fast small greens can play with you psyche. I will return.
