The National Golf & Country Club

Course layout and condition of the course itself was good. However very active construction going on all around the course. Cart paths not completed had to drive through active construction site to get from hole to hole.. No club house had to pay at tennis court and drive back to bag drop area again with active construction at site.

Great course, with an even better value. New to SW Florida. I played Forrest Glenn (which was great, but a little short off the Tess), Valencia (which was trash/sanded down slow greens and terrible tee boxes). I asked the kid washing the clubs where he golfs around here and he said Ave Maria. Couldn’t have been happier. Great fairways, great greens that roll true. Kind of a links style course with water. Water is easy to avoid and lost one ball. They are under a little bit of construction but it is only along the cart paths between a handful of holes and do not take away from play and ambience. Was worried that golfing a Del Webb course was not going to be a true test of golf. I was wrong. The let up is on the greens, they’re not too tricky and I’ll take that.

Newly built course(18 months). Still lots of construction works ongoing. Played off the Red Tees. Found it a challenging test. Have to play the course from the fairway as like most courses. Enjoyed the round. A good addition to the ever diminishing amount of public courses in the Naples area. Hopefully it stays like that.

It’s a superlative golf experience. You won’t get this impressive round for the price you pay at nowhere.

A par five with 700 yards…… beautiful links in pristine condition, perfect greens. For those who want to unlock their driver power it’s the right place.

I live at Doral and it’s an easy day trip for me; it takes me an hour and thirty minutes to arrive . I do car pooling with my buddies and at the end of the day it’s impossible to be unsatisfied.

And finally a delicious pizza in downtown Ave Maria at five minutes away to end a perfect golf day before come back home.

From tee to tee. Excellent maintenance. The hazards are challenging, the fairways are fantastic. The greens and cuts around the green are well manicured.

I will say if you miss the fairway and first cut of rough, you will have a hard time. Thick!

I can’t wait to play this course again.

The golf course is in great shape for mid august heat. We’ve had a healthy dose of rain, so expected it to be solid. Amenities still being built out, but will definitely go back.

I love the couse, technical but accommodating for all levels of play. Yes there is alot of construction around the course, but it is in a new Community that is growing rapidly. If you aren't expecting it to rank with the Ritz you will enjoy it,

the staff are very accommodating and work hard make the experience complete. They are friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to take a look at booking a round and visit a Diamond in the Swamp !
