Extremely poor conditions

I have played diamond dose in the past the layout as a fun truck for a public Muni. Unfortunately, in the winter time is in horrible shape it has been raining so it was cartpath only but even without there is no fairway grass. It’s either mud dirt or out of season grass. Greens were bumpy. I tried to fix as many divits as I could on everyGreen. It truly was borderline unplayable. I can’t believe they were charging full price. I have to make my own notes not to play this in the winter. Maybe from May to July August, other than that unplayable

Never worth it…

3rd time playing here in the last 6 months, course has been awful all 3 times. This time, 75.00 bucks for another 5 hour round. See pictures below. Also, they still do the “you must give 5 dollars as a deposit for the key to the golf cart, you will get your 5 dollars back once you bring the key back to me after the round.” I’ve played over 300 courses and have never heard/seen this anywhere else. Also, bathrooms locked and “closed for the season” W/signs saying closed for the season? Tee boxes are trash, fairways are terrible, bunkers are pointless, and the amenities around the course are mediocre at best. The last 3 times I have played have been between 70-80 bucks, all 3 rounds over 5 hours, and course conditions are laughable.

Cart path only after rain

Course after rain was muddy and cart path only. They really need to improve on the drainage! After heavy rain or weeks of raining, they always have standing water 💧 or the course is completely muddy! Talk about inconvenience!! Plus if you hit into the tall grass, good luck trying to find your ball!! Because it’s so muddy and soft, they can’t mow the grass, or your ball is buried deep into the ground. It’s a good course when it’s dry tho., (spring-summer). I’m going to wait till summer to play there again, and try somewhere else.

STAY AWAY

The course is way too wet. Ball plugs and you slosh around all day walking to your ball.

Inferior drainage.

It's better to wait until Spring to play.

Cart Path Only.

The course is a joke.

Pretty good quality municipal course

I've played here 15 times in the past 7 months. I joined a Friday league. About 40 guys. Friendly, happy and fun. Monday - Friday senior walking green fee is $25. Well worth the toll. If you are even just moderately physically fit you'll be able to walk this course. Some steep climbs are very short in distance. Most fairways are wide and forgiving. Turf conditions are good. Putting greens are not too difficult. Small snack bar. Typically golf course food, sandwiches, hot dogs, baskets of french fries. Not gourmet. 6 beers on tap and a few more in cans & bottles. Friendly folks work in snack bar, in the pro-shop not as much. Lessons available. 2 bay teaching barn. I took one 90 minute $150 lesson. Was severely underwhelmed by the pro. I've gone elsewhere much more satisfactory for lesons.

Rude Staff

I like this course but it’s the last time I’ll play here. Pricing is very close to many other non-city owned courses. In general, the pro shop staff is indifferent, bordering rude and making customers feel like they are a bother to their stupid internal conversations at the desk. This is a especially true for the young lady working there.

Hire people that care or at least train them to have decent social skills with manners

Pace of play is always a problem here. And recently the fairways might as well be the first cut. Mow the fairways!

The bathrooms on the par three I think it’s the third hole have a sign that says they are closed for the season? Seriously diamond Oaks you want me to continue to go in the weeds and on the trees? What about the ladies? But they spent money to put out houses on the eighth hole? Typical muni course mentality!
