Pretty good quality municipal course
I've played here 15 times in the past 7 months. I joined a Friday league. About 40 guys. Friendly, happy and fun. Monday - Friday senior walking green fee is $25. Well worth the toll. If you are even just moderately physically fit you'll be able to walk this course. Some steep climbs are very short in distance. Most fairways are wide and forgiving. Turf conditions are good. Putting greens are not too difficult. Small snack bar. Typically golf course food, sandwiches, hot dogs, baskets of french fries. Not gourmet. 6 beers on tap and a few more in cans & bottles. Friendly folks work in snack bar, in the pro-shop not as much. Lessons available. 2 bay teaching barn. I took one 90 minute $150 lesson. Was severely underwhelmed by the pro. I've gone elsewhere much more satisfactory for lesons.
Rude Staff
I like this course but it’s the last time I’ll play here. Pricing is very close to many other non-city owned courses. In general, the pro shop staff is indifferent, bordering rude and making customers feel like they are a bother to their stupid internal conversations at the desk. This is a especially true for the young lady working there.
Hire people that care or at least train them to have decent social skills with manners
Pace of play is always a problem here. And recently the fairways might as well be the first cut. Mow the fairways!
The bathrooms on the par three I think it’s the third hole have a sign that says they are closed for the season? Seriously diamond Oaks you want me to continue to go in the weeds and on the trees? What about the ladies? But they spent money to put out houses on the eighth hole? Typical muni course mentality!
Good greens and fairways
As a muni course green fees are super affordable however place of play was absolutely horrible.
New golfer
I am a new golfer and I really liked playing this course. Many par 3 holes made the course fun for me. I felt successful!!
fairway condition
Really enjoyed playing the what seems to be resigned course from a decade ago?. Everything was good except fairways need to be mowed. It was almost like playing in the rough. A typical muni course but had a lot of f
un playing.
Diamond Oaks
Highly overwaterd. Fairways are too long and rough is way too long for normal play slowing down play.
Good course
Pace of play very good four hours. Greens in good shape two weeks after aeration. Fairways grass long and first cut of rough very hard to get out of. Needs to be cut shorter. Lost balls in ground due to being too deep. Overall avoid course to play.
The fairways were wet and high cut grass.
Has a hard time finding our golf balls in the fairways
Watch Out for Rude people!
I fully understand It's a Public Course been playing here for over 30 years. The course is like a cow pasture. Green are very marked-up players NOT fixing their ball marks.
What is Bad is that the golfers today are very Rude and offer no manners. Especially if they lose their ball in the unmowed rough.
No Course etiquette - it is just a game!
People tend to bring their problems to the course.
It seems like front office staff are not trained to have a Courtesy greeting.
Not sure if I will be playing here again.
