Spooktacular improvemets
Played ACC today at 11:50 with a POP of just under 4 hours due to fewer golfers(we took our 'sweet' time). I think Halloween miiight just be a good day in the future to 'BOOk' a round as it seems like lighter than normal pressure on the tee sheets? Preservation Golf LLC recently purchased ACC and there are many improvements going on here. I saw improvements, like landscaping, building maintenance, serious re-construction to the snack bar(kitchen and dining room) between 9 & 10, better tree husbandry, many bunkers and a tee box. Good to see this happening.
Tees, 3 out of 5
Fairways, 3 out of 5, winter overseed coming in
Bunkers, still 2 out of 5, but improving
Rough, 3 out of 5, mixed bag of grasses but thankfully at sensible depths
Greens, 3 out of 5, only because the recent big tine aeration isn't visually healed, but it just about plays like it is. They were nice for any approach shot and putted at medium to medium-fast speed.
Looking forward to seeing continued improvements here, so I can enjoy this course and bring them more of my business.
Bang for your buck for sure
Honestly could t ask for more. Nice tee box good fairway and ok greens. Over all great day
Zero Amenities
Not having any food or water out there is pretty lame and the greens and traps leave a LOT to be desired. Traps are mud holes...

Verdict Still Out
I have seen recent reviews that the course conditions have improved under the new owerns, but I had played the course a few times earlier this year (January-April) and I have to say the course conditions have not improved. The greens may have been the slowest greens I have played all year, and though the green surfaces don't look damaged the ball did nothing but bounce. It was almost impossible to get a true roll. And if you had an uphill putt it was near impossible to get it to the hole. The fairways did have more grass than earlier this year, but it was almost all crabgrass and the lies were no better than in the rough much of the time. I wouldn't say avoid the course at all cost, as the fact it is generally pretty easy to get a tee time does give it an edge, and the $34 weekday rate starting at 1pm is reasonable. Just be prepared to look at the round as a way to get in some swings and hope you get lucky with respect to making a putt. I also don't like the fact they charge the same rate to walk and ride, which is simply dumb. I prefer to walk, and this course is very walkable, so not charging a different walking rate is kind of annoying.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Arrowhead Country Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Green all around
I had a tee time for a foursome, this was our first time playing here and for the price it is a great value. The course is in excellent shape. The fairways are nice and green and so is the rough. The greens were well taken care of. From what I hear it seems like New Management is turning the course around, there was absolutely nothing in the pro shop but a desk and I wasn't sure if there was any food or beverage but because I didn't see anything. Carts are nice too
Arrowheadhead
This course has a new owner that actually cares. He has been seen working hard to improve the course with his own labor. Good stuff. It is in the process of getting better. Will be back for sure. And cudos to the new owners.
Getting There
It's been a while since we've played this place. Was a horrible course back then. Now it seems like the new owner is serious about restoring it back to early 2000's condition. Greens were a little furry and slow but very dark green. Should be excellent this fall. Fairways are best I've seen in 5 years. We will be back in a couple months.
Major positive changes!!!
Pace of play was excellent!! Course conditions were great! Rumored to have new owners if so, hre as t job! If not, wonderful change of pace. Front office staff was courteous and funny!
Getting better I guess
I came here with super low expectations since all the reviews talk about how bad the fairways are and generally how bad the conditions are. I thought the course was in good condition with green fairways, plenty of grass everywhere, flat tee boxes, and overall well groomed. Greens were slow but I wasn’t out for an important round so I didn’t mind… with new ownership I believe they’ll have those greens rolling fast before the end of the year. If you’re local and haven’t played here since it went downhill I suggest you give it another shot. Pro shop is undergoing renovations and I saw lots of workers all around the course busy making changes. I was pleasantly surprised. Design wise I felt that despite the flat nature of the course, the green slopes were tricky and the length was no joke. Next time I’m in the area I’ll play again. FYI: restaurant is currently only open on weekends but pro shop has some beer and sodas for sale, nothing at the turn so buy beforehand.

Course coming back to life
Course is coming back to life with some TLC from new ownership from what I understand.. This older course has a rich history, great views of the local mountains along with a great layout design that will challenge you from tee box to the flag.
Full time golfer
For those reviewing this course lately….. you need to get out to other courses for 50$ on weekends. Summer heat and lack of rain have taken its toll on so cal public municipal golf courses. Arrowhead is in pretty good shape compared to others in the same price category. Remember this isn’t a private course anymore. Good to see the lakes still have water, and the fairways are green. Definitely recommend.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Please bear with us as we work diligently to make improvements. We hope to see you back at Arrowhead Country Club!
