Watch out for yellow jackets
Fun round yesterday minus getting attacked by yellow jackets. Was looking for my friends ball when I accidentally walked near a hole in the ground with yellow jackets coming out of it. They proceeded to attack me and I got stung twice! Not the best way to try and play a round! Watch where u walk out there! My legs are still on fire today and swollen!
Dog Track
Not worth the price unless you have to play and it’s the only option. Fairways are terrible. Greens are pathetic. Layout is bad too. Constantly dodging balls from other players because it’s such a tight course. Save your money. Not worth it
Great Value
First time I have been back to Arrowhead CC in about a year and I was very pleased. The course was in excellent shape and even though they were very busy the pace of play was excellent. Only area that needs improvement are the tee boxes greens and fairways are in great shape. The staff was very friendly and helpful this course is a great value for the price.
Stoopid Covid
This course is an old school 1950's type layout. Tight fairways and punishingly long par 3's from the blues (with penalizing hazards...yay). Keep it in the fairway off the tee and know where to NOT hit your approach and you be good-ish. At times this course can be agonizingly long in the pace of play category precisely for the reasons I previously mentioned. Golfers not playing to their skill level. It's up to the course to have a Marshall that can keep groups in line but I get it: what retiree wants to confront some knuckleheads over pace of play?
Before Covid this golf course dumped a good amount of money and time into improving the fairways...and then they had to shut down. Sad because I was looking forward to seeing those nice fairways from the rough...maybe even hitting some of them. So the fairways are not great. Greens are good. Bunkers? Like everywhere else now that we can't have rakes.
Cart/on course beverage person? Yes, sometimes. The players' golf carts have small coolers and you can fill these with ice at the golf course. The indoor area is shut down but the snacks and such have been moved to a window on the patio. Buy a beverage or two from the course to supplement your stash...help the cart person's economy!
If the pace of play improved at this course it would be one of my go to courses.
Poor
Terrible conditions. Sand traps had weeds and grass growing in it. Nothing was open. Not even bathrooms in main building. Had to use bathrooms on course that were completely run down. Everything was filthy and broken. Grass was dead.
Don't bother. Only play if it's free. Even then, still might not.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve, and we are working towards getting things up to par. Thank you for playing Arrowhead Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Great course
Beautiful course, love the scenery and the layout.
Great course
Love the layout, beautiful scenery. Fairways are lined by trees just a beautiful course. This course has 5 par fives and 5 par threes. Love playing this course from the blue tees.
Great 3and a half round of golf!!!
This course seems to improve every time I play it!!I. If they were to lower the price we could play it more often !!!
First time playing here
Fairways are in decent shape and greens are in good condition. Lots of trees great for the shade not so much for my golf game! There are some long PAR 3!! I will be back soon!

Tight track
First time playing this course. It was in pretty good shape tee to green. This course was very tight with OB to the right on most of the holes. Most of the par 3's were 185 to 215..tough. Some tee boxes were right behind previous greens..so be careful. Enjoyed my rouf and will likely play here again.

Breath of fresh air
Booked a twosome at 6:38am but had my partner pull out last minute. Paired up with another walk on and together had a marvelous morning. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course is amazingly green for this time of year yet only a rare soggy spot. Tee boxes and fairways decently groomed and greens in pretty good shape. For Covid season, I was impressed and pace of play had us done in 3 1/2 hours. Definitely recommend with great Senior rate and course conditions.
Has seen better days- But is improving.
This course used to be prime in it’s private days. Lush fairways and kept greens. I played the course a few weeks ago and was astonished at how long the cut was on the fairways literally like second rough cuts on any other course. The greens were in decent shape though. Don’t hit the bunkers- rough and could use some fresh sand.
Fast forward to today- fairways were playable and in much better shape, greens could use a little more attention when moving the hole guys aren’t pressing and rolling after moving the cup. Players need to be more mindful of divot repair. But all in all I’d say my round this week was much better than last just based on course condition.
Quick and empty
Course layout was simple. Fairways were run against each other, with most holes essentially in a straight line. Nothing particularly interesting. What was interesting was the pace of play, which was 2 hours and 20 minutes. I can say I played it, and really don’t need to again. Fairways were in good condition, with reasonable rough that was not overly punitive. Green were very good, and any missed pit must be the fault of the operator.
