San Juan Hills Golf Club

Nice course. Funky layout starts out a little uphill par 4 that’s an easy start. Then the next few holes are straight out of a fit them into the land available and you wonder what’s going on. Then the fun begins with a downhill par 5 that’s and absolute blast and should be reachable for any single digit handicap. Word of caution no room around that green and ball could end up rolling down to 5 freeway for all we know. There are areas very close to the greens that the ball will just disappear. The next holes take you to the clubhouse and are pretty uneventful. Cross the road and you feel like your in riverside county and that’s some of the charm playing here. Cross the road again and now your in a palm desert resort course . Great variety and if you have skills you’ll love this place. If your long and wild you’ll need a dozen balls or more and a lesson on how to stay on the hole your supposed to play. Overall great course with semi fast greens and does not disappoint with condition, friendliness of staff, and variety of holes.

We teed off before 8. Because it was cold the night before we had cart path only for the first few holes. After that we were able to drive on the fairway

Played with 3 great guys. Pace was very slow. No Marshall. Teed off @ 12:30 & played hole 17 & 18 in the dark. Staff was great.

I play here often; it’s my home course. The course itself has always been great. Especially compared to what’s around. The OC is filled with amazing courses but SJH Golf Club isn’t charging $125 or more like some. The price, for the course, is by far the best around.

Awhile back they remodeled the clubhouse and then started charging big bucks for the same golf course that was just average... I know they had to pay for the new clubhouse but why charge the

Golfer we don't use the banquet space (why dont u over charge a wedding or xmas party if u need $ for the remodel not the golfer) but we do buy a bunch of food and beverage when we play so it's like double dipping your golfers wallet.. that's messed up.. we just want to play golf. Yeah they made a few changes to the course but not a reason for steep $$$ prices. This is just an average course but they over charge like its a five star course wgich its not! I mean for alittle more $ i can play Talega, monarch beach, tijeras creek, oak creek, and so many others in O.C.this used to be our home course but now we only play it a couple times a year if we can find a screaming discount online.

Great Course, Staff is excellent, Ray always on the ball. Greens are in good shape and slick. Fairways good condition.

Pace of play was slow being a holiday sunday and i expected this when booking a hot deal after 12 PM tee time was pushed back from the original booking. So i only played 9. the elderly couple in the foursome could not keep up and kept the pace slow

San Juan Hills is one of the best bangs for your buck!

Greens were in amazing condition. A bit fast so be careful on those down hill putts!

This course is not particularly challenging. It does however allow you to open up and drive some hard balls without fear of loosing them. Nice open layout, pretty good conditions. Feels like a municipal course but slightly better. IT makes for a good day of golf but not memorable. I will be back for sure and recommend playing here. There are goods deals but also other courses that stand out in the area. It’s with playing

This course was in great condition and fun to play. The pace of play was a little slow but we had lots of time and the company (Louis) was very good. We will return.

The greens had been punched but weren't horrible $45 was a good value for the conditions. The entire course is Kikuya grass so if you don't fly the ball on the green it will not release onto the greens hit several shots just short and they stop right where they land.

Its a really old layout with out any improvements other than the new holes 13 to 15 that were added a number of years ago. The rest of the course could use some updates they have been the same for over 30 years.

Beverage cart broke down so it was parked around the 3rd and 8th tee area, there is a snack bar by the driving range/10th tee but other than that on the back side there wasn't anything.

The bar/restaurant is great and the food is pretty good.

San Juan Hills Golf Course is hands down the best price/value in Orange County. Course condition was excellent. The bunkers have real soft sand, unlike some of the more pricier courses. Greens are quick and true.

First time playing SJH. Really enjoyed the round. Played on Monday morning and the pace was excellent. The layout is very good especially the back nine. Can't wait to play here again with a bit of course knowledge. Will definitely be back. The staff are all very friendly but shout out to Ray! Thanks.

It was a fun round, perfect weather. The pace of play was extremely slow, but other than that, I highly recommend the course and will be back to play.
