Tucked away in the hills of San Juan Capistrano, San Juan Golf Course is situated midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Its location is conveniently close to Legoland, Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo, and miles of sandy beaches. The championship golf course underwent a major renovation of its fairways and greens, making them some of the best in south Orange County. The layout consists of a diverse array of holes that range in length from short to long and some are hilly while others are flatter. Being a public golf course and having a versatile layout, San Juan G.C. is a popular place for tournaments and events. At either end of the course there are practice facilities as well. On the west side you'll find a putting green and sand bunker as well as a chipping area, and on the other end you'll find a grass driving range.

Wednesday morning at 10 AM shouldn't result in 5 hr / 15 min round. Yes, the player assistant was on the course.
San Juan hills
How can you have that many people playing golf and not have a cart girl? People like us like to drink when we play!! We wouldn't have came otherwise!!
Bad day for play?
I have played this course quite a few times and could never blame a bad swing on anything but lack of skill. This last outing was different as I warmed up well and shot par on the first. Then... we waited at the second box. Then we waited at the third... and fourth.. and fifth... and so on. I couldn't get into a rhythm no matter how hard I tried. On the FOURTH, we were backed up 3 groups deep. I am not sure how that is even possible. I love this course and will play again, but thought to put this on everyone's radar. When the course moves smooth, it is a dream. Let's hope this was just a fluke and the next round will be better.

The staff make it worth going. The pro Ray is a really great guy and gives tips if you ask. The course is in best shape I can remember but the pace was the slowest I remember. Worth the money and a nice day.
Always improving this course
Played in the afternoon with my daughter, great conditions and pace of play as we finished 18 at sunset. Greens are in nice shape. We will return.
Fun Course
First time playing here, played early morning tee off time of 7am, played in 3&1/2 hours. Very fun course lots of challenging holes, greens are in great shape, fairways good shape, Bermuda grass was different to play on ( not used to Bermuda grass) overall I'll definitely play here again

We always have a good time playing here. Course is in fair to good condition. Greens are always challenging,overall for the money it is a great place to play.
