Par 70 narrow challenging fairways. With little error for errand shots. Slope challenging, soft greens. Played only the front 9 due to commitment in san diego that day. Played tips +2 (39) missed 5 looks from outside 15 ft. Made birdie and couple 2 putt bogeys Handicap 3.5. Highly recommend to test skills I will be back

This course has been reliable for easy access, nice ambience, and good golf challenge at a good price. At the end of summer and after fall start, I ve noticed the greens are showing significant wear and tear, and some of the fairways showing more hardpan exposure than ever before. The change has made me lower my course conditions score from above average to average. I still recommend this course for the value and ambience.

Upon checking in inquired about the greens...Pro Shop attendant said they were good, and playable.

Wrong...the greens were furry, patchy and still bumpy from being punched. Another 2 weeks and might be playable.

Grabbed some food for the course and all 3 orders were exceptional. The gentleman at the bar was great and service was impeccable. Thanks.

On course service was great, grabbed a few drinks from her and she was very accommodating.

First time back after a year out of the game and thought this would suffice as a great way to get back into the game. Boy was I wrong, the greens might as well be under repair with the current conditions. The tee boxes weren’t great either! I only landed in one green side bunker so I can’t confirm on the others, but it was rock solid. And I’m not one to care about pricing… most times, but with the current conditions of the course, these prices need to be lowered.

Course in terrible shape…front nine closed. Had to play back nine twice…not good.

I understand your fairways are patchy with hard dirt. Atleast make the tee boxes even. We shouldn’t have to hit from an uneven lie from the tee box. Some of the greens are hard then some are soggy. This course just can’t get a hold on its maintenance issues. Stop charging premium for what it’s worth.

I enjoyed rounding 4hours at the course.

course is not long and well maintained.

Tee Time, 2:10 did not get off till 2:20 starter was clueless, squeezed in a 2:05 and the hacks in front of us where not good, there was no Marshall to speed play up, super narrow course a lot of red and white out of bounds, greens were first fringes were under repair . Basic Orange County river course, get some land and maximize it dollars great views and beautiful homes. If u r in SoCal and want to experience great weather close to beach but a basic public course $82 on weekend with cart not bad, if have plans after food or beach then good spot, but keep expectations limited, the muni course down the street way better valley

The San Clemente Municipal, harder get tee times. But better bang for your buck. Stuff was really friendly , bathrooms were a mess, good putting area, and chipping area, people super nice, and nice looking bar and restaurant had athe bbq going, good eye candy around, but as far as course average .

Right off the ocean (blocks away) we played here during a heat wave in our area. Great staff but the course had issues with tee boxes and greens. ( Maintenance crews have there work cut out)

I've been playing Shorecliffs for years. Management has spent lots of money to improve the course and it shows. However, they need to improve all of the tee boxes. Make them level.

The main complaint is the timing of groups, every five minutes, that's a joke. Come on, should be every 8 minutes. We had minutes to wait on every hole.

Very slow golf course too many par 3’s , otherwise ok for practice

I want to start by saying the property is beautiful and has so much potential to be a very solid course. Unfortunately, the grounds are in terrible condition. Like terrible terrible. Potholes everywhere, random dirt patches? Tee boxes were miserable. Staff seemed to barely care about operations at all. The potential is totally there for this course to be a hidden gem of SC, but it looks like nobody cares enough to take this course to the level it should be at.

I played here yesterday and overall, it is a really good course. The staff was super friendly, and the layout is great and looks really nice. However, the tee boxes were pretty beat up. The strangest thing was that they were actively cutting the greens and doing repair work all over the course while we were playing. There was a guy cutting the greens who basically followed us around the entire round, so we were hitting onto the greens as he was working. Additionally, the pace of play was really bad. There were just too many people playing, and the tee times are way too close together.

We were pleased with the course. It's not long, but tight tee shots made it quite challenging. Course conditions were like a basic municipal course condition. Greens were very good though. Staff was amazing. No driving range. Come warmed up. We will recommend this course if you're looking for a round near the coast.
