Great Course but Holes 3 and 4 are terribly designed
Everything is pretty good except for hole 3 and 4. If you have played there you know what I'm talking about.
SB Golf Club
Public courses aren’t easy to find in Santa Barbara and for a municipal course in the dead of winter it was in very good condition. Tee boxes were fair, fairways were above average and large greens were excellent. It was an absolutely beautiful day and a must play winter course.
A nice public course
I have been playing Santa Barbara Golf Club once a week for the last 8 months, riding out the pandemic. It's a nice course, and after the round, we have lunch at Mulligan's. Lunch is the best part of my game. And Mulligans is great.
Too many bare lies
Nice layout but overall condition tee ti green was very poor. Hard to find a spot to tee up ball on turf. Greens bumpy after aeration. Too much play and not enough water.
O.K. Course
Had to wait about 30 minutes because they were busy. The pace was slow, took 4 1/2 hours during the weekday which surprised me a bit. But staffs were nice, overall condition were not great. Lot of bold spots in the fairways.
Fun course beautiful layout.
This course is fun to play and not to challenging for the intermediate players. Beautiful scenery with a nice ocean breeze. We love playing here.
Fun but short track
It’s a fun course, though not long, at all. Usually in good condition and pace of play was around 4.25 hours, on a Saturday afternoon.
Need to be more organized
There was a shortage and confusion with golf carts and finding keys to a cart.
Golfers were piling up on the first nine holes, while the back nine holes looked clear and wide open. Why couldn’t they start some groups on the back nine and some on the first to get things moving.
I didn’t see one golf Marshall out there trying to speed groups up.
