Don’t let the length fool you.
The staff was excellent and very accommodating. We got there early and they sent us out right away. The curse was in pretty good shape for summer. Even though the course is short it is well designed with well placed trees and challenging greens. I would recommend it to anyone.

Will play again because of layout & price but expect to improve your lye in the fairway
Good course
Nice course for a casual round. Expect all skill levels, and the pace to be a bit slow. Other than that, nice track.
A very pleasant surprise !
As a 1st timer playing this course, I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience.
Convenient parking, easy check-in, friendly staff, well maintained driving range, nicely-powered golf carts, and an 18-hole course that's currently in extremely good shape.
Although the course was definitely busy, the pace-of-play did not suffer much at all and was certainly at an acceptanle.level.
Here's probably the greatest endorsement of all...
I drove more than 85 miles one-way to play SBGC and, without question, would do it all over again !

Santa Barbara Golf Course is one of the best munis in the state.
Rolling hills and fun complexity
This course was very fun to play. Every one there has a great attitude in light of our current situation(COVID). The course was well kept and there were guidelines set in place to mitigate the virus spread. The greens were quite slow but the rest of the course was pristine. I would definitely play again.
Issue with Carts
My friend I chose to drive 30 miles to the Santa Barbara Golf Club, as they offered golf carts during the this time of Covid. We paid for carts on Golfnow, then showed up and did not get one. We were told there were not enough carts available, so had to walk 4 hours up and down hills with a bad foot. Instead of a refund, we were given a waiver on a golf cart for the future. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that we would have a cart available to us if we were to play again. Needless to say, we would not have driven 60 minutes round trip and paid the money if we knew that a cart was not guaranteed. We understand that there are more important things going on in the world right now, but this was very frustrating to us.
almost like summer
Early March and the course played almost like it did when I was here last summer! Neatly mowed fairways and light rough are not normal for this time of year, but I'll take it. The only drawbacks to a wonderful day on the course were the recently aerated greens. But I can't say that I wasn't warned, it was noted on their GolfNow link.
One other bonus was the lack of foursomes this afternoon (probably due to the greens) which led to a sub four hour round!

Would play again
Visiting from out of town and thought it was a fun course and in great condition. But it would have been nice to know that they were punching the greens on the back side and could only play the front nine before we booked our round.
