Nice Sunday golfing
Our round was great, course is great and pace of play was perfect
Marshal NEEDED for SLOW P lay. & Play violations!!!!!
Was told at Pro Shop by the Starter, " I'm also the Marshall! " Well, after the 2nd hole, a couple of 20-somethings started treating the couse like their own practice facility! Playing a few balls per hole, practicing MANY Extra Shots, even rechipping 4 balls while I patiently waited on the tee of the same hole!
After 4 holes of this, I finally said, Let's GO! Then, on the next green, Same Behavior, even looking up at me waiting again on the tee!
I noticed one of these individuals had a yellow bag that said RENTAL on it. It dawned on me they may be from out of town, and from their skill level, more beginners.
The point is, without proper authority on the course, there is a chance, us golfers who play with respect for play, will get upset, not return, or get in arguments with the offenders!
I was compelled to tell the pro shop, but only got a response, We are sorry you had to experience that!
Most courses have a REAL MARSHALL to mitigate AND Educate these wannabe golfers.
Longtime Pruneridge course player . . . 40+ years.
Irons & short game practice
Great 4 a "Hot Deal" on golf now, but a short 9-holes. Perfect if U have only 2 hrs. to play. Good place for a beer & bite after ur round.
Cool course
This was my third time going to the course and I’m not gonna lie. It’s actually not too bad especially in the early morning . Great course for new players .
Super convenient 9 holes
This is a great little course to get in a quick 9 holes or if you don't have the whole day to be out golfing. Quite tight but that's part of the challenge. Greens in good condition and pace although a little slow was acceptable all considered, managed to get 9 holes in just over 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. Would recommend and will play again.
Muddy day at the course
Two days after the last rainstorm fell in the Bay Area, I played the Pruneridge GC in the afternoon. There was still a lot of standing water on the fairways, and even small lakes on a couple of holes. Surprisingly, the bunkers were mostly free of water. Due to the rain, the grass was high everywhere (including the fairways), and there were a lot of leaves all over the ground, so it was difficult to find our balls on nearly every shot. Balls hit high would disappear in the mud once they came down. Although these rains cause extra work for golf courses, they need to respond to it and at least clean up the leaves and cut the high grass if they're going to let people use it. Lastly, please fix the nets on the 9th hole near the practice range. Practice balls are all over the fairway on the right side.
Decent for the Area
The course is great for a quick round after work. The condition can vary heavily, and the fairways are in rough condition right now. Pace of Play is a struggle at times, but manageable.
