Los Lagos Golf Course

Fairways are slow and there was more shag around the fairways than I usually see, making it hard to hit from the edges. There was a bit of sog and standing water on the periphery throughout the 18 holes. For the most part everything is kept in pretty good condition. This time of year (fall) it's hard to keep the course clean and clear, and there were sycamore leaves everywhere. Made it really tough to find balls in the rough, and even on some of the fairways. The greens are some of the largest and most challenging I've ever played.

Our cart broke down on the very first hole, it just died.

5 hour round for a par 68 course is just unacceptable. Will not be back. Unbelievably annoying. Slowest golf in the bay and that’s saying something.

Some of the greens were rough. The call cleaning stations were poorly maintained: some had no water, some were missing bristles and towels

This is a short course where you get to use just about all of your clubs during the round!

This is a short course with many par 3s. I am disappointed that they do not have a dress code. I saw most people playing in T-shirts, sweatpants, sandals, one guy in pijama pants. These outfits are a disrespect to the sport. I am never coming back. I would rather pay 20 more dollars and play Coyote Creek.

Pin placement was extreme for the size of the greens often way too close to the fringe. The actual distances were off from the scorecard, white tees played more like the blue tees! Also, you can’t drive carts into the parking lot. Personally, I think the person responsible for placing the pin locations was either fighting with their spouse at the time or was ticked because of the GHIN low course rating and slope. !!!

I've played here before but it seems like the place is going downhill. Pace of play sucked on front 9, but got much better on the back. Bunkers were either hard or muddy. Long rough close to the pin, lost a few strokes there. Weird layout with lots of par 3s and difficult part 5s. Landscaping around clubhouse was gross, do they not care? If you have low expectations, you won't be disappointed.

I set a tee time for 6/22/26 for my group and on golf now it said it was $38 per person. When I show up to the pro shop they are telling me that it’s $70 per person

Played a Friday twilight round at Los Lagos and, as expected, the pace of play was slow, but the course was in decent shape & the weather was excellent, making for an enjoyable day on the course.

The greens need improvement, there were quite a few unrepaired pitch marks that affected the overall putting surfaces. Players doing a better job repairing ball marks would go a long way toward improving conditions.

There was only one employee both the concessions & the bar, which resulted in a line at the turn. Because of the wait, I ended up skipping food and drinks altogether.

Overall, despite a few areas for improvement, it was a good round with great weather and a pleasant experience at Los Lagos. I would return for another twilight round.

Played 15 of 18 because of the slow play. Took 5 hours to play 15. Play in front of us was slow - group 2 ahead were over 2 holes behind at the turn. When our other pair quit at 9, play became even slower with no one “playing through”. Friday afternoons in summer are unbearably slow, and no one monitoring the pace.

## Player Feedback: Los Gatos Golf Course

Los Gatos offers an above-average course layout compared to other options in the Bay Area. However, from a player's perspective, there are several key areas where management and operations could be significantly improved:

* **Golf Cart Availability:** The course does not have an adequate number of golf carts available for players during peak times.

* **Pace of Play:** Additional course marshals/staff are needed to monitor and maintain an efficient pace of play.

* **Course Security and Cleanliness:** Management should increase staffing to maintain course cleanliness and prevent non-golfers from wandering onto the paths.

* **Fairway Incursions:** We experienced delays caused by players from adjacent holes wandering far into our fairway to play their balls, taking an excessive amount of time to clear the area and holding up our round.

* **Player Etiquette and Supervision:** We also experienced an issue where an unauthorized group cut in at Hole 10, directly ahead of our team, disrupting our game due to a lack of staff oversight.

I booked a twilight tee time and arrived on time. After loading my bag on a cart I found out that the Front Nine was closed. This was never mentioned by GolfNow nor by the Cashier (Josh). I found out from others golfers when trying to go to Hole #1. Also, my cart died after 14 holes and it was too late to have them drive out a replacement. A lot of workers had left for the day. As a result, I carried my bag for the last 4 holes. Not fun for a 75 year old!!!

This course is always in great shape and some of the cleanest and purest greens in the bay for a muni. Ultimate hidden gem for sure!
