Bennett Valley Golf Course

Had a great time. Saw several "SAVE BENNETT VALLEY GOLF COURE" banners hanging around the course.

My first time playing Bennett Valley. It was a bit wet from overnight rain but the layout was fun and challenging, pace was great, and greens were in very good shape. Sun came out about halfway through which made for an awesome back 9.

Highly recommend this course.

Was in good shape as long as it gets a chance to dry out.

It's tough to review a lot about a course during COVID, as many functions of the course are shut down. Also, guidelines cause quite a bit of tension.

The course looks nice, but since it was a bit muddy, there was that.

All things considered, my wife and I were 100% decided to come back, so we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

We played at Bennett Valley on MLK day,

My friend's foursome was 22 mins ahead of us, and yet there were 4 teams in between us

that leaves 5.5min to finish one hole!

And of course it took longer than that, and every team was backed up

and the group behind us yelled at us for not playing fast, while most of the time we were waiting at the tee for the group playing ahead of us to clear out.

It was not a pleasant experience and I wish the course at least give 8~9 mins for each group to complete.

I played Bennett Valley for the first time and it was a great course. Mostly flat course with a lot of trees, well maintained and the staff was awesome!! I will be playing here again for sure.

Bennett Valley is one of the nicer course around but when it rains it gets very soggy.. The pace of play is always very slow as there were a lot of walkers.

I guess the concept of a golf marshal is dead me buried somewhere on the 2 hole. 5.5+ hour round is ridiculous.

I blame the course operators not necessarily the golfer due to ignorance

Why would operators want the golfing experience marred by slow play??

A great course! Worth the drive from the city. Great lay out, nice people. Good pace of play. If you hit it straight, you will do well here. Greens are fast and true, I visit where ever I can. A north bay gem!

This isn’t a difficult course, but it was kept up pretty well and the staff was helpful. Good value for the money as well.

Playing Bennet Valley was a good experience, a serene and picturesque environment.

The play was painstakingly slow for a Tuesday. Started at 12:45 and completed only 14 holes.

This tree-lined golf course has a lot to offer and challenge every level of golfer. Set in beautiful Sonoma county, this golf course was in very good condition and well maintained- well worth the visit if you’ve never played here.

It was a fun day. The greens were smooth and fast, and conditions couldn't have been better.

I think the course needs to space groups out more during the day so it’s not too backed up. Took my buddy and I over 2 hours to play 9 on a Thursday afternoon

Bennett Valley is a classic muni course. The layout is fairly pedestrian, particularly the back 9 which is essentiallly a series of back and forth par 4s. That said, they do a good job of maintenance, particularly this year with all the extra use.

Today's round was played on late fall, hard and fast conditions. Lot's of roll out. You felt like a much bigger hitter than perhaps you are. The greens were a bit faster than you might expect at a muni. The pace of play was great (4 hrs 15 min). COVID precautions were well in place and it seemed like a safe experience.

The setting in Bennett Valley itself is beautiful, with a nice backdrop of mountains behind you. All in all a very pleasant round.
