Bennett Valley Golf Course

I forgot how fun this course was. I will be sad if it closes. You definitely have to be accurate off the tee in order to avoid the trees surrounding each hole. The greens are like glass and offer some challenging pin locations.

A great course in great shape!

Wonderful golf course. Tough, true greens. woodland setting. course is in great shape.

Only downside is the restaurant/bar is closed at present so you need to bring your own!

THe staff was awesome and very helpful. Pace of play was great for first 4 holes and then major backup with no resolution. Once we got to our 8th hole (#17) with 4 groups on one hole, we decided despite paying for 18 holes, we would end it after 9 holes. We were average over 20 minutes per hole for 4 holes. Just not worth it. I hope this was an exception to normal practice (no ranger in sight) as the staff, course and overall experience other than pace of play was great

Great course! great layout and nice people

A great value for the price. Only down side is no food or drink at this time.

Having played 16 different courses with my son across Solano, Napa, Sonoma, and Marin counties in 2020 we're playing his faves this March before he heads off to India for a new job. We both love Bennett Valley and both times I've played it we've played the back nine first, which is great because in our opinion the front nine fun holes to play. The course is potentially under threat due to City of Santa Rosa's monetary issues so play this while you can. It's a gem of a course!

My first time playing Bennett Valley. It was a bit wet from overnight rain but the layout was fun and challenging, pace was great, and greens were in very good shape. Sun came out about halfway through which made for an awesome back 9.

Highly recommend this course.

Was in good shape as long as it gets a chance to dry out.

It's tough to review a lot about a course during COVID, as many functions of the course are shut down. Also, guidelines cause quite a bit of tension.

The course looks nice, but since it was a bit muddy, there was that.

All things considered, my wife and I were 100% decided to come back, so we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Wonderful tough tract with narrow fairways and well maintained bunkers

We played at Bennett Valley on MLK day,

My friend's foursome was 22 mins ahead of us, and yet there were 4 teams in between us

that leaves 5.5min to finish one hole!

And of course it took longer than that, and every team was backed up

and the group behind us yelled at us for not playing fast, while most of the time we were waiting at the tee for the group playing ahead of us to clear out.

It was not a pleasant experience and I wish the course at least give 8~9 mins for each group to complete.

I played Bennett Valley for the first time and it was a great course. Mostly flat course with a lot of trees, well maintained and the staff was awesome!! I will be playing here again for sure.

Bennett Valley is one of the nicer course around but when it rains it gets very soggy.. The pace of play is always very slow as there were a lot of walkers.

I guess the concept of a golf marshal is dead me buried somewhere on the 2 hole. 5.5+ hour round is ridiculous.

I blame the course operators not necessarily the golfer due to ignorance

Why would operators want the golfing experience marred by slow play??

A great course! Worth the drive from the city. Great lay out, nice people. Good pace of play. If you hit it straight, you will do well here. Greens are fast and true, I visit where ever I can. A north bay gem!
