Los Robles Greens Golf Course
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Conejo Valley, Los Robles Greens Golf Course is less than 40 miles from L.A. but feels much further thanks to the beautiful mountain surroundings. It sits at 900 feet above sea level and tumbles across a variety of elevation changes. The towering, mature oaks that line the fairways characterize the course. The diverse layout offers both wide and narrow fairways, water hazards, and thick cuts of rough. The undulating greens are also lightning fast. The course is a fair challenge but still gentle enough to appeal to a range of skill levels. Although it is a public golf course, the beautiful setting and excellent course conditions gives Los Robles Greens the feel of a private club, which makes it a great value for the price.

Hey, there's a drought
The fairways were challenged. Lots of bare spots and uneven surface. Found a broken hose with lots of water flooding an area in front of 1st green (yes, I called). I'm an 18 handicap and the course is a wee bit long for me so I try and break 90. Haven't done it yet!I play Westlake alot and that's rarely over 3.5 hours with lots of golfers. Why is Los Robles always 5?
First time out
Pretty nice course overall, lots of trees and a few blind shots, greens were being watered while we were playing, fairways were in decent condition but a great value for the deal.
Los Robles
Greens were excellent, only reason for a fair rating, otherwise poor conditions...many fairways had little turf...bunkers lacked sand...outside ambassador at first tee and on course was outstanding...
Drought Conditions
The staff could not have been friendlier. They did a great job accommodating me. The course unfortunately is not is good shape. There is very little grass on the fairways, but the greens are in very good shape and are very challenging.
Needs better maintenance
Spongey greens, patchy fairways. Could be real nice with better maintenance .
Los Robles 8/3/14
Course was a little dry. Early morning showers kept golfers off the course and got in a Sunday round in under 4 hours. Overall great day of golf. Greens were in good shape.
Great price
Can't beat a round, a hot dog, drink, and range balls for $30. The group in front of me was high school student and they walked very slow. I waited at lease 15 minutes each hole.
Busy & Challenging
Course is well maintained, greens on back 9 in the hills are tough to read & putt, fairways are somewhat narrow. Played blues at 6,000 yds and thought it was going to be easy. Boy, was I unpleasantly surprised and Par is only 70. Pace of play slow - teed off at 11AM on Saturday. Up to date club house.
great value for your money
Very nice golf course and friendly staff and golfers
Hidden Gem
I get to play this course 6+ times a year (once every other month on average). it can get backed up on a couple of holes but if you head out early, you won't have a long round. back 9 is definitely more challenging than the front.
Painfully Slow
Extremely slow play, fairways definitely feeling the effects of the drought/dirt spots abound, only positive was the greens being in great shape. I will pass on this course in the future........not worth the wait!
convenient
it was a nice day, nice pairing, the price was better than I receive with a city card for this course
Good Time on Good Course
This is a good course with come challenging attributes. The greens were in good condition, but somewhat slow. Not as fast as the practice green. The tee boxes were in good shape. My only complaint would is that the fairways could have been in better shape. The grass on the fairways was somewhat sparse and almost barren in some places. Overall, it was a good experience and worth the money spent. Will be playing this course again.
Excellent greens
The course is in good condition considering the dry conditions. There are some fairways that require more grass and are relatively barren. However, the greens are in excellent condition and run true. Overall a very good course to play with some very interestind and challenging holes.
good value
First time to play on this course. It is a good value
Lowered green fees means course maintenance
I was wondering why the green fees were lower & nothing was posted on their website. Well between trees being trimmed & fairways being punched, I made it through the round.
The greens were great!
Los Robles' fairways are very close to one another so you contend with golfers playing in your fairway.
Several holes run along the 101, so you have that lovely noise while you wait on the tee box.
The reason los robles is popular is because the local choices are minimal. Camarillo springs is beyond horrible & tierra rejeada is too hard for most golfers. Sterling hills is a good option. I rarely play los robles & I remembered why yesterday.
Los Robles Greens
Most of the fairways are in poor shape.....not much turf or really thin turf. The greens are in excellent condition which is usually the case for this track. Great value and a nice, older course you should play.
Great course
Absolutely love this course the staff is amazing and friendly which is often hard to find! The cart girls are cute and friendly never an attitude! The course itself is fast and clean and for a shorter course it's definitely challanging. I made my second ever eagle on the final par 5 shooting a 77. Amazing day and experience. Thank you, Los Robles.
Could use some water
Fairways were pretty dry, as were the greens. I could not hold a lot of greens with mid to low irons
Off the tips there is a 1200 yard difference between these courses. In addition, there is some space between holes at Robles, as opposed to westlake. The course designs are incredibly different. Wedtlake actually books groups closer together than Robles, but they can get away with it because its a shorter (but fun) course.
If you're looking at playing weekend golf and are concerned about the pace of play, best to tee off before 9. In addition, if you look at the course yardage, you can get an idea of a longer or shorter round.
