Los Robles Greens Golf Course
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Conejo Valley, Los Robles Greens Golf Course is less than 40 miles from L.A. but feels much further thanks to the beautiful mountain surroundings. It sits at 900 feet above sea level and tumbles across a variety of elevation changes. The towering, mature oaks that line the fairways characterize the course. The diverse layout offers both wide and narrow fairways, water hazards, and thick cuts of rough. The undulating greens are also lightning fast. The course is a fair challenge but still gentle enough to appeal to a range of skill levels. Although it is a public golf course, the beautiful setting and excellent course conditions gives Los Robles Greens the feel of a private club, which makes it a great value for the price.

beautiful course
I play this course often and one reason is that it is always in really great shape. The tee boxes are rotated often, so they are in good shape and the greens are always great also. I am not a great golfer, so the wide fairways are welcome. It is also quite beautiful with all the oak trees.
Great Value, and course was in very good condition
The course was in very good condition. It happened to be very windy on the day I played, and a large tree fell next to the green on the 15th hole. The pace of play was excellent. I know you can't control the weather, but even with the windy conditions it was a very enjoyable experience. Lunch was great and I definitely will play here again.
Great Course, VERY long round
Tee'd off at 11:36am and barely finished the round! It was almost a 6 hour round. My group was stuck behind a couple of inexperienced foursomes, which happens sometimes, but we only saw the marshal twice during our 6 hour round, and he assured us that there was nothing he could do "it was stacked up through the rest of the course." It did not seem to me like he had said anything to anyone to encourage a faster pace of play over the entire course that day. I watched 4 groups stack up behind us at a par 4, while the group in front of us spent over 10 minutes on the green. Perhaps there had been a tournament that morning, or something, but at some point, the staff should get things moving once the event has ended.
Besides that, it was a beautiful course, not too challenging, and very fun to play. The several oak trees on the course are unforgiving, so watch out! The facilities were very well maintained, they have a good breakfast menu, and plenty of on course amentities (restrooms, snack bar, beer cart, etc.)
I'll definitely be back to play Los Robles, and hopefully the slow round was just a fluke.
Too slow
This course always takes too long. Maybe it's because they let 5 somes out and let little kids ride with their parents and run around like its a park. Too bad layout is fairly easy.
for the right price it's acceptable
decent layout, tee boxes need to be mowed, greens rolled and cut. golfers here don't know anything about golf etiquette. the group in front of us was lining up each putt like it was the masters and they were 4 holes behind the group in front of them. the blue flagged cart (I know it's handicapped) rode the cart onto the fringe of each green, I though it was a 20 foot rule. people cut in front of us to get the last hole in, forcing us to wait and play 18 in the dark. for the price I paid it was ok, but not a keeper
it was ok
Course pace was extremely slow... Everything else was good. Course greens could have been better too...
This place has gone down hill
Now that they are letting everyone and their mom walk the course plan on a 5+ hour round. The quality of play has gone down. The avg golfer here when i played was +20 handicap and for me (+5) it was brutal waiting for them walk to their ball all day. Won't play here again. I do recommend it for novice holders tho.
My Day at Los Robles
The course was challenging and in excellent condition. The desk attendant and the marshal were both positive, upbeat and cooperative. I had a great time, will definitely be returning and loved that I could play alone.
not good
feel like you owe me a refund - 3 hours and 55 minutes and just finished 11 holes !!! 4 groups on the tee boxes and no marshalls in sight - very disappointed
Don't let the front 9 fool you
I've been playing golf for almost 4 years and this is my favorite course. It's not so difficult, that I get frustrated and not so easy that I'm not challenged. I love the pristine greens and the well-kept fairways. Despite the oak trees (some in the middle of fairways), it is great course to manage. The front is way easier than the back. Coupled with the staff being courteous, attentive and professional, this is a great place to spend your money.
Greens are on great shape
Fun Par 70 course. Fast greens in great shape. Fairways in decent condition, cut short.
Course has a nice layout
We started exactly on time. Course was in good shape. Pace of play was very relaxed and did no feel rushed.
Course is great. Problem is starter. 4 two somes in front of us. Way too slow
Great value but starter needs to understand you can not put out 4 two somes in a row. Especially on a weekend
airation
I paid for two rounds on 10/03/2013 at Los robles and at no time was I warned on Golfnow that all the greens were sanded. The golf course should have told Golfnow how the conditions were and You should have put up the icon for that course. The pro shop said they were sorry and that they told you about it. I would like letter from the golf pro shop saying they are sorry to all that played and A refund of my two green fees. Thanks
Good course, slow pace
We had an 8 AM Sunday tee time, we didn't tee off until about 20 minutes after we should have and pace was slow all day. Seemed over booked. Should have saved 30 minutes driving each way and just played an LA Muni course for that length of a round. Course was in very nice shape.
Well maintained.
This course is a mixture of challenging and reward.
Well maintained, and staffs are very kind and helpful.
Great Price, and (given the time) fast play
a 3pm Saturday tee time for $20? Yes please!
Absolutely the best bang for the buck given the weekend setting. My initial fear was that given the time and rate the pace of play would be painfully slow. Not the case at all. We waited about 10 minutes at the turn, and came up on some slow players towards the end, but we were able to finish a foursome (including 2 very amateur players) in less than 4.5 hours.
I am going to make an effort to play this incredibly well kept course once a week!
Beware of late tee times
We took a deal on a 3pm tee time because it would be just enough time to finish 18 and it would have...if the pro shop hadn't inexplicably set.off a twosome on the back 9 at 5:10????? They were so slow they forced us to play the 18th in the dark. a very minor league move by the course to make a few bucks.
Very enjoyable course
Got a great deal thru golfnow and played there for first time. They were doing some fairway work but it did not affect play. Staff was friendly but unaware that deal included range balls. They did however look it up and happily provided them. Course is a shot makers course and makes you think about every stroke. Greens were nice and had good speed to them.
Great condition for the amount of play this course gets.
Greens are in amazing condition considering the amount of play this course gets. The layout is moderately challenging with one or two holes that require some accurate placement off the tee.
Very pretty course also with all the oak trees.
amenities are very nice too and the staff is friendly and professional.
