Tracy Golf & Country Club

The greens were in great condition. Everything else was fairly dry and the course plays a little harder than it looks.

The course layout is plain vanilla, especially holes #8 through #16 on the east side of Hwy 580. The greens were in top notch condition. However, the fairways were below average, and the rough was absolute trash. The course managers are clearly taking the California drought mantra "Brown is the new green" very seriously.

Normal weekend prices appear to be $61 per player including cart. This is too pricey for a course in this condition, especially when comparable prices can be found at neighboring courses that may be in better shape, such as The Reserve, Las Positas or Diablo Grande.

Excellent pace of play for a Sunday - finished in about 3.5 hours.

Best greens I've played in a long time. Trees are well placed to penalize errant shots but very few places to lose a golf ball. I played there 2 days while out here visiting my wife's family. The wind made the course play slightly different both rounds. Had a good time both times.

Super friendly staff, the course was in average condition (many brown spots) but the greens are tricky and fast. Was windy on day of play; hence, the course played a lot longer. Would recommend to anyone who wanted to play at a course with good pace of play.

Fun course, tight fairways. Greens were immaculate, very fast. Pace of play was really good and the staff was excellent. Conditions were good overall, the rough was really rough. I'll be back.

First time playing this course. Sand traps in nice condition, greens were excellent, very very fast with some very tough pin placements. Fairways and tee boxes could use some work but you do get some run on the fairways. A little course knowledge could be useful the first time around. I was told that the nine on the east side of the freeway came later and the nine on the west was the original. I really liked the layout of the course and will definitely play it again. 19th hole is nice, good drinks. Didn't try the food as it was getting late. I recommend this course, very fun to play.

The course was in great shape, had just rained the day before.

Greens are good, but everything run to Modesto, very changeling with pin placement. Today was windy and gusty.

Golf Now did not inform me there would be major maintenance going on, and we would have to play the back 9 twice. Tracy G&CC called to inform me of the situation, which I greatly appreciated, and told them so. We finished about 10:30 AM and no one was manning the bar or snack bar, so we went elsewhere.

Greens are amazing. Very fun course to play. Never had to wait. The new golf carts were very nice

Course in relatively good condition...given the area drought condition. Fairways and greens were in better shape than I had expected. Carts were all clean and in good condition. We were paired with another two-sum,...as always great to meet and play with new found friends. Pro-Shop personnel friendly and helpful,...all the driving range time and balls that we wanted...great time.

Golf course was in good shape. Some bare spots due to drought, but course was nice. Greens were TERRIFIC!!!!

The pro shop staff was friendly and prompt. Slow group ahead wouldn't let a single play through. Isn't this a country club ? Green were excellent but speedy, fairways were good with some wet spots here and there. Bunkers were bland and boring, several missing or broken rakes. Course plays easily enough with a simple layout.
I don't think it's worth any more than the $40 I paid (plus $2.50 fees) not private or country club in condition.

Waste Land should be more presentable. The water shortage probably is reflected on the grounds,

I played at 10:05 am before the weather got hot and it was great. The greens played different in the AM from the PM as they dried out and got faster as the day got hot. They were in excellent condition. I did not go to the putting green and my score suffered as a result. If you put well you will score well.

With limited public access, this course boasts and lived up to a reputation for fast pace of play. Two of us completed the course in just over 3.5 hours and that was with following a 4-some for the entire back 9. We waited no more than 2 minutes on each of these tees and only a couple times from the fairway. Several shots presented views that suggested lots of clear space between waters edge and the green. I paid for these twice.

Good course that's kept up nicely for the drought going on. 18 holes took 4 hours 15 minutes with a constant wait for groups ahead. Not too bad. Relatively easy course with a couple Par 3's over water which is always challenging. I'd play again if I met people up in Tracy.

First time plating the course. First person I ran into as I walked around was the young man tending to the carts. He was friendly and told me where to check in. The gent checking people in was friendly and said they were a little ahead of schedule. I got there early so it worked out in my favor. You can also hit unlimited range balls for $5 prior to playing .
The course is dry around the edges as a lot of courses are due to the drought, overall in good shape and the greens were great. Course was pretty straight away with wide fairways. Front 9 seemed a bit harder than the back nine but that could just be me. My son and I played the course in under 4 hours as we weren't paired with anyone. The only time we slowed down was we ended caught up to a group of 5, yes 5, but thy let us play through. Obviously no course marshall here but I'll play the course again as the overall experience was good.

get below the hole on most greens. When they are dialed in they are speedy. In great shape too.

Was a good day and would play again. Fairways were a bit dry and greens were very recently sanded so putting was suspect. Difficult when playing into wind. Will play again when greens have recovered from sanding and hopefully on a less windy day.
