Now’s the time!
I play Woodley a lot. This is the best shape it’s been in in a while. Greens are rolling true. Played in 4hrs 20min which is perfectly acceptable.
Great Course for the $
Booking through Golf Pass made this golf course reasonable. Had a great time and met some new golfers.
The cart police mechanism is set a little aggressive. Actually got stuck between a tee and green and a hazard. I was well away from all. Ridiculous IMO, though I think it was set for new golfers that don’t know better.
Have a nice day!
Good course, but beware of golf cart jail
I played Woodley Lakes golf course on Friday, 30 May. The course is in pretty good shape, with some exceptions where it needs watering and trimming of the clover. The greens were in really good shape. Had a great round with some new golfers.
At one point though the golf cart froze up, warning that we were entering a restricted zone. Started to back up out of the zone, and the cart stopped moving. I tapped the screen on the GPS to get it going again, and nothing happened. We ended up having to push the cart manually about 75 feet or so until it finally came back to life. I understand the restrictions, but I’ve played golf all my life and respect the tee boxes and green areas. My brother and cousin built golf courses for many years in their 20s, and that too taught me respect for the course. I understand there are beginner golfers out there that may need guidance with a golf cart, but having to push a cart in 90+ degree weather is ridiculous. I was at least 30 feet from the green and the tee box. Hopefully, I won’t run into the same situation in the future.
Have a good day and hit him straight!
Greens are nice
Greens are smooth and rolling nicely. Firm-ish, but fun to hit into and to putt on.
Overall the course is in good shape. Of course there are some spots that need fixing but for a City course it’s in very good shape.
Surprised how good the greens are.
Teeing off just past the half hour after noon, we got round in 4 hours, which is really very good compared to many other courses around these parts, these days!
Good course for the money
Got it on hot deals, saturday for 54$. Course condition is somewhat dry with a bit of brown patches in fairway. The rough.. is rough. Pace was acceptable, held back by a foursome ahead but still finished in 4.45hrs. What i really like in this course-- ground driving range, has a chipping and bunker practice are not to mention bigger putting green. Overall a course id consider going back
Good course. Lots of beginners though.
Good course but odds are you could get paired up with someone who does not know how to play golf. Third time this has happened to me. Makes for a looooooong rounds and frustrating if you have any sort of a game you want to get in a groove with. Course is easy and fun. General decent shape.
Overall a C- course
I like this course because it is fairly easy with not too many challenges. But the greens keepers need to take care a little more as there are so many dirt patches in the middle of the fairways and in most cases you are punished by being in the middle of the fairway
Great gem
Played for the first time and I am impressed. Good course layout, and the place is well taken care of. The bar looks a lot of fun and I’m sure has great food. (Although I didn’t have time to enjoy it) A lot of long par 4’s and par 5’s! For those of you who crush it off the tee, (I’m not one) will love this place. I will definitely be back in the future.
Great value, player friendly
Woodley is an open course with wide fairways and playable rough and bunkers.
Nice wide open golf course
Greens were still recovering from being punched but puttable . First time there for a friend enjoyed the wide fairways . Fun day in the valley !!
Good course for the money
The course conditions were affected by a recent rainstorm, to be fair. There was some flooded areas some mud, but overall this course is fun, with huge fairways. Didn’t lose a single ball while playing! The carts have a touch screen, Bluetooth speakers and are in good condition. What I didn’t like was there were no obvious cart path direction signs. Several holes I had no idea which way to go when approaching the green and because of that I would wander into what the golf cart screen called “restricted areas” and would force me to go in reverse out of there. Mind you, I was not what I would consider “too close” to the greens. Sometimes the cart wasn’t sure what hole i was on but you can manually choose the hole in settings, so that is nice. Overall, fun and cheap course to practice your skills. Definitely going to play again.
Really good and easy course
Has some length from the tips, very generous fairways, greens receptive and decent, overall a fun course to go tune up your game.
Greens covered in SAND
Its April 2025 and the greens weren't just punched... They were covered in sand. Unplayable. No discount, and only warned upon checking in for the tee time. Not happy.
Reseeding
I was pleased this time with the pace of play .. Finished in 3 hours 50 minutes like it should be … However I Only Wished They would have Let us Know That They Were Seeding The Greens … Either by Telling People Woodley Golf Will be Down For The Week Of 4/13-4/20 or even Longer .. That Iway you weren’t playing either on sandy beach like greens or temporary greens
Don’t make me pay full price for subpar conditions
Overall, the course is great and I fully intend on playing there again. However, half of the greens had been freshly punched and sanded, and it was like putting on a beach. Don’t make me pay full price for those conditions.
