Woodley Lakes Golf Course

This course is in terrible condition. The entire fringe and apron of nearly every green is muddy and feels like a wet sponge. I don’t understand how half of the course is brown and dry, and any chipping area around the green is wet and spongy. It hasn’t rained here in a very long time and this is a middle of the day round. If you drive it down the middle of the fairway, you will land in brown patches dead spot. Los Angeles is probably making a lot of money off of this course and not hiring any maintenance staff to take care of it.

Everything was great until the 15th hole where we caught up to the foursome in front of us, who had caught up to the foursome in front of them, who were waiting on the foursome in front of them to finish. Major log jam and after half hour waiting to tee off we bailed. Despite this rare occurrence I will return. Fun place and friendly staff.

I love this course but they keep raising the rates. The cart rental was ridiculously high.

They have a decent driving range, chipping, and putting greens. Also a place to practice sand shots.

It’s called Woodley Lakes but no water hazards really come into play unless you hit really bad shots. Fairways are wide and aside from a couple of holes, it’s a great place for beginners and very score-able. For a LA muni, it’s great.

Pretty nice layout except for a lot more spotty grass on the course then I’d like. I attribute that to not wasting water. So maybe in that case I will except that. Please sell some refreshments or some kind of club house where you can purchase balls and tees, just a little essential’s. That would put it over the top. See ya at the 19th hole

Several of the fairways had bare spots. There was thin uneven cover elsewhere. Greens were very good. Pace was good. Disappointing that there are still no on course eating options unlike other city courses.

I need wide fairways and the have them here. It helps when you have a huge slice. I was able to keep them long and in the fairway. Just need to have the all around game. And it’s possible here. I have recommended to many friends after my first time

Woodley is a pretty flat, straight-forward course. Conditions are decent, there are a few greens showing signs of rot and some dead patches in the fairways, I played out of two bunkers and both were hard packed sand. The greens were slow but rolled straight and were really receptive considering it's 100 degrees every day this time of year. GPS on the carts is top notch. Bring your own food and beverage as there isn't a restaurant or cart girl currently, and fix your ball marks on the greens dangit!

Sadly a conflict arose where I was forced to reschedule original teatime but when I went to reschedule through the app it only rescheduled me for one instead of two. I tried to get in touch with Woodley to work something out and hopefully add a second at a different time or the same time but they would not be helpful that way. So we walked onto a different course on the same day and we were taking care of appropriately

Only knock I have is with driving a cart, SO SO bumpy. So many pot holes and not smooth at all. Played a lot of courses now and probably the worst driving ground I’ve been on.

Range balls not washed!! Do they not have a washer here? Do they not care? You go to Encino, they have that place running tip top and like clockwork. You come to Woodley, you get dirty range balls and there’s never enough buckets. And it’s still on mats, and they raised the range ball prices. Ridiculous. Practice putting green near the shop is trashed. It’s dying. Rotting, with dead patches all over. The course is the same as it ever was, greens are slow and barely cut, and some tee boxes are absolute junk. Nobody cares about Woodley. They could at least wash the range balls and put it back on real grass.
