Needs a marshal
Love playing this course but it needs a marshal. We were 30 minutes behind pace of play because of the two groups in front of us. Ruined our game.
Greens were nice, but the fairways…
Woodley Lakes was not too bad. The greens were nice, but the fairways were pretty wet and muddy areas. Pace of play was just a bit slow, but not too bad. Overall, a nice course and will play again.
FUn on the course
Played with nice people and good golfers!!!Fun day in LA 's Valley!!!
Great open course but stuck behind newbies
Great open course, good for working on your shots, course conditions were slow greens because they watered it a lot . However , got stuck behind three guys just learning how to play and were extremely slow, and I didn’t want to skip any holes which I prob should’ve done. I will go back for sure.
Wide open fairways and forgiving greens
My first time playing here with 2 friends who also never played here can agree that the pace of play was just right with no waiting and no one pushing. The wide open fairways gave opportunities for up and downs. The greens are easy to read and the putts hold their line. The driving range is grass and they have a large chipping and putting practice area.
Inexpensive, no other benefits.
It’s not gonna break the bank, so anyone who just loves getting out and playing golf should be, at a baseline, content to do so at a reasonable price. Another nice (though mostly pointless with cell phones) feature is the screen in the cart that tells you how far you are from the hole. Everything else about this course is ROUGH though. It might be because I played in the summer, but it is drier than heck. The carts are so slow (limited to maybe 8 mph?). The pace of play is slow, too. None of the grass is cut that well, but the greens were relatively okay. I was told there was a beverage cart but there wasn’t one. Basically, it’s a course I’ll play cause it’s cheap, but it’s worse than the worst courses I grew up playing in Michigan by some distance.
Driver Friendly Course
Felt great to hit the driver without worrying about where the ball ended up. The rough was forgiving enough to still end up on the green for par. There are no real skill shots or calculated approaches to the tee—aim for the flag and enjoy the game!
