Low Country
Worth the 80 mile drive . I came down from the Bluffton Area . As we all know the Bluffton / Hilton Head Area can be over packed and beat up due to tourists . This course was worth the drive . Range Balls come with round . Tee Boxes and Fairways are in great shape . Greens were rolling pretty smooth and true . Water Buckets were out on the course as well. I would come back and play this course again. Pace of play was pretty decent . 18 hole round took a Twosome 3hrs 40mins to play @ 10am start. My favorite hole on the course was #17.

All greens are back!!
I've played Sapelo a bunch of times. Earlier this year, some (most?) greens on the front nine were in bad shape due to unusual weather in the spring. Happy to report that the greens have recovered and the course is in excellent shape. Always enjoy playing this course, don't hesitate to check it out!

Nice Course
The course is very well laid out with wide fairways for us somewhat errant direction. Greens suffered from a cold spell this past winter but are coming back well with great care. Due to sanding the greens are quite slow.

Lots of wildlife
The course was impeccably maintained, with pristine greens that offered a perfect speed and consistent roll.
During our round, our threesome was treated to a delightful encounter with the local wildlife. We spotted a graceful fox, a majestic alligator, and a charming turtle, adding an extra touch of nature's beauty to our golfing experience.
A word of caution, however, for those unfortunate shots that find themselves near or in the water hazards. It is strongly advised to avoid venturing too close, as there are resident alligators in the vicinity (as depicted in the photo). Remember, it's always better to accept the loss of a ball than to risk a perilous encounter reminiscent of Chubbs from the movie Happy Gilmore. Safety first!

Memorable Fun in the GA Backwoods
Overall, this was one of our favorite courses in south GA.
Tucked away in the marshy backwoods of coastal Georgia, this course provides exciting views paired with a fun, getable layout. Course demand is light but does offer some exhilarating shots for the longest hitters that choose to play from the tips. Wildlife is abundant and adds to the overall experience. The staff is very friendly. Clubhouse is small but lovely. What this course lacks in overall care, is made up many times over by just how fun each hole is from tee to hole.
If you can see past areas of disrepair (that are clearly being actively and well managed to not detract from overall experience), I highly recommend taking a detour from the normal courses along the Golden Isles and giving this fun track a go.
great layout, but greens a bit shaky in spots
The course is a great layout, but some green issues. No Marshall or Starter, pace of play slow. no management of tee times

Course was in good shape with only some greens needing fixing. Such a beautiful course and well worth the ride to get there from Savannah.
