Greens
Love this course, would be 5 stars all the way but the greens were nothing but sand. I have played this course several times, never seen the greens like this. The greens have always been great except for this time.

Great staff, good course, terrible greens!
I frequent the course about once a week. For a few months now the greens have had bare to burnt and bare spots all over. Some spots even cover half the green itself being just dirt or the algae. The greens have had black algae for at least 3 months, bare dirt spots for longer than that and no indication as to when or if they’ll ever be repaired. It definitely doesn’t seem like the course staff is too concerned since the conditions of the greens have just remained in disrepair. Today the greens were freshly sanded (witnessed grounds crew actively sanding), the pro shop didn’t mention the maintenance, and neither did the course website or their social media. The staff is always so nice and accommodating, the fairways and carts are great but the tee boxes and greens seem to be put on the back burner for repairs or general upkeep…to have such an amazing course with awesome scenery, it’s sad the superintendent can’t get a wrap on maintaining tee boxes and greens….

1st Time Playing and Will be Back
Played here with my husband on our way to Brunswick, GA. It was a week day. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We were a few minutes late to our Tee time and it was no problem. Beautiful scenery. Great experience. Highly recommend.

A Longtime Favorite
We've stayed on Saint Simons Island for many years and join a local Brunswick club for the time we're here. But, we always try to take a day to play Sapelo Hammock as well. While the greens at this time of year aren't always pristine, the course is set in the marshes and includes a number of holes where the marsh truly challenges one's skills (or lack of same). A very nice layout with friendly staff.

A great course in Coastal Georgia
One of my favorite courses to play when visiting Coastal Georgia. Quiet course and friendly staff will keep me coming back again.
The course is well maintained to include the bunkers. You are guaranteed to have a great day of golf.

Charming
This is a charming course with beautiful views. We have played it several times over the years but this time the conditions were a little rough. Some greens have a lot of damage. The fairways are hard and around the green there is often very little ground cover making chipping difficult. The sand traps have great sand however. The price was high considering that other courses in the area are the same price with much better conditions.

Used to be better
I played recently after a three year lapse and I was disappointed. Many of the greens have a slick fungal illness unfortunately. Maybe it was caused by winter weather. The people there were very nice as always.

Sapalo
Nice layout for a relaxing afternoon of golf. Pace of play was good, under 4 hours.. A couple of greens were extremely wet and some were turning dark brown, esp. # 9. Overall a nice course and fun to play.
