Sapelo Hammock Golf Club

Course was in good shape with only some greens needing fixing. Such a beautiful course and well worth the ride to get there from Savannah.

Get a friend and take the ride to the course, you won't regret it!

As always we have a great time at Sapelo. They had sanded some spots on some of the greens but other than that it was perfect. Everyone had a great time.

Course is in good shape. Some but, very few bare spots on some greens.

Fairways are in good shape, as well as tee boxes. Nice practice range and NEW carts. Well done.

Love playing this course. A few greens had some sandy spots, but otherwise great condition. Really enjoyed our rounds.

Great staff! Always friendly and helpful. The front side greens were very slow and covered with sand in some areas for repairs. The back nine greens were much better.

Greens under repair in some spots but minimal. Other than that , course in EXCELLENT condition. Set up was amazing and staff was soooo cooperative. Brought as a guest a friend from England . Has played some of the finest courses in the Manchester area….. he rated Sapelo a 10 in comparison.

Have not played Sapelo in quite some time. Have a friend in town from England so I decided to take advantage of a super golf pass rate and we journeyed from Savannah’s historic district to Shellman’s Bluff. What an unbelievable day we had ! Christina in the grill and pro shop was super informative and SO gracious. My Manchester buddy was VERY impressed . He’s returning to the states and Savannah in October ….. Sapelo will be our first golf outing ! I’m not waiting till October , I’ll be back soon with my regular group.

I love this golf course. It has something for everyone. Not too long, but a real challenge from the tips.

The course had some damage to the greens due to a deep frost in February, but they are recovering nicely.

It’s a great course just a few miles from I- 95 north of Darien.

Course overall is good. However there were several greens that were in rough shape. Lots of sand patches. Club House was exceptional. Food and drinks , good. Overall enjoyed it. Condition of the greens was the only problem.

Play there periodically.

Great course. Greens are being worked on and they are sanded. Tee boxes need some work too. Overall this is a fun track. Hope the greens come back with all the work being done.

Another good day at Sapelo Hammock. A few greens had a lot of sand as they are being repaired but still a fun course.

Play here often and had never seen so many greens with so much sand on them, did I not see a notification about it? Just not to the standard we are used to at Sapelo.

We drove a long way to play here due to the 4+ star review. We were quite disappointed with the course we expected so much more. On one hole,, I thought they landed in a bunker, and I actually landed on the green. I have attached pictures of some of the greens. They are pretty terrible for the price we paid to play.

Pretty place, but greens were top dressed with sand (no price adjustment) and play was slow (no ranger). That took away from the beauty of the place. Minimal snack bar open - looks like not enough staff here in general. Two ball washers on the entire course. Map on card did not have the hole numbers. Signs on tees did not have a map of the hole. It's a guessing game at times as to where the hole is.
