Sapelo Hammock Golf Club

First time to play it. Overall good layout especially the backside. Best hole views are 16-18. Nice driving range which is near 1st tee box. Unfortunately the practice green was placed across the street on backside of clubhouse which I assume was done because of the scenic view. Tough great par 3s so take an extra club. Didn’t care for the par five 18th’s layout but the views offset that. Wet conditions of layup area didn’t help. For the price give it a try but be ready for an adventure in getting there. For those who live near it, thank your lucky stars and pray they can stay in business.

Too many carts and players let out at the same time. There was a group of 7 or 8 carts on the first tee, and we decided to head to the back nine. Great course in great condition, but management shouldn’t really let so many players out at the same time. When we came back off the back nine the first time, the front was still so crowded we had to replay the backside again. Also had to wait on some tee boxes on the backside on the second trip around. Just too many players out today at the same time.

First time playing here and I really enjoyed the layout. The greens are quick and in decent shape. Fairways are in really good shape but make sure you hit them because if you miss you’ll most likely be hitting from a barren grass area or mud. Staff and starter were both really friendly. I will be back!

Played under not great weather conditions but the course was in great shape and the greens were really good. I would imagine in spring and summer this would be a very scenic round of play.

Visiting from Connecticut. Loved the trees, course was moderately challenging but we had a great day!

Love playing this course tee boxes are located in challenging positions. Greens are in excellent shape. Fairways, man the Fairways have the best scenic views.

Over all this course has the best vibe even if your having a bad game. Im from Houston TX and will definitely be back well worth the drive..

Tee boxes weren’t in great shape but everything else was good. Greens were spray painted to make them ultra green. Rough was brown so green color stuck out. First time playing and would go back.

One of the best courses in SE Georgia. Course is in top shape and the natural beauty is beyond compare.

I continue to be pleasantly surprised at the wonderful experience I have been enjoying playing Sapelo Hammock. The course is challenging, the greens well cared for, the setting memorably beautiful and the staff friendly and accommodating. It's a little off the beaten track, but well worth the ride.

I really didn't expect the course/greens to be as nice as it/they were. The public star rating is spot on. I noticed that most of the shot divots in the fairways had been filled with sand. Keep it up golfers. A couple of nice local guys allowed me to pare up with them, for course knowledge. It rivals most resort courses that I have played in Myrtle Beach, with the exception that the greens are a touch smaller and no paved cart paths. I would really like to walk the course next time, but I didn't notice any walking rates on the website and I didn't ask at the clubhouse. Its a great value specially if you can book thru a discount outlet. I will mention that there were a few wet spots on the course and I don't know how recent they had gotten rain, so it may be questionable as to how well it drains. Enjoy

Sapelo Hammock is set in a beautiful location among the love oaks covered with Spanish moss. I arrived early, and the staff member who was putting the carts out was extremely kind and accommodating. I played a single, the second group out following a 3some and the pace of play was terrific. The course was in very good condition and the greens were superb.

Have heard of this course prior. Took the drive from Richmond Hill and it was worth the trip. It's like a HH coursecwiqhout the crowds, traffic or costs. Support this gem whenever you can....It's worth it
