A hidden gem
I’ve passed this course on the way to work for over 20 years and I always thought it was a private club. I happened to see the course on golfnow and booked a round this past Monday. It exceeded my expectations. They probably have the best greens I’ve played on. Soft enough to stick approach shots and fast enough not to have to blast your putter. Very good pace of play even with some walkers. I’ll be back for sure.
Great day.
Perfect weather. Love the tee boxes here. Amazing greens, roll great. Fairways mowed tight. Pace of play is best part. It's expensive but worth it. Only negative, no sand in green side bunkers, hard pan. Be back soon.
Gem in Whittier
Tucked away in Whittier is this wonderfully laid out track with lush landscaping and well kept greens. I love the serene setting and the fast pace of play. That combination keeps me coming back.
nice course
Really nice course, very green and beautiful. First time playing this course and definitely not my last.
Fun golf course in great condition. The greens where in great condition and the staff were very friendly and moved play along.
Fun Course
This was my first time playing Candlewood C.C. I enjoyed the course layout and conditions. The course challenges the player to hit an accurate tee shot as most holes are narrow with O.B. on either side on several holes. The course layout rewarded good shots and made for difficult scrambling opportunities when poor shots were made. Most of the par 4's were about the same distance and the par 5's created scoring opportunities. The long par 3's were the most difficult to tackle! However, the rate of play was slow as the round took almost 5 hours to complete. It was particularly slow on the back nine.
Candlewood
Good course to play. Not very long however looks of blind type shots. Good to play with someone familiar with the course. Can be walked easily and most of the holes are fairly flat. Greens are very nice and roll very well. Was informed by a member that summer months course is very dry and firm.
