Slow!!!!!
Very slow, and conditions are not at all worth the $69. Play somewhere else. The only positive is that they have Birdicorn divot tools for sale.
Course in Great shape
Candlewood is always in good shape.
Great layout with some challenging holes and the greens are fast and run smooth.
Fun course to play at. Somewhat dangerous layout.
My first time playing at the course and it was very fun. Since I played on a Tuesday, the pace of play was amazing. We finished 18 holes in under 4 hours. The only concern I have is that the layout of some holes can be dangerous. For example, the green of hole 10, which is a par 3, is just right before the line of the hole 1 drive distance. Let’s say if someone shanks it, it is possible it can be dropped by the green of hole 10. Some other holes are similar to this.
Anyway, I’ll play there again. It looks like an easy course, but quite challenging. Bunkers had sand. Greens looked good. For some reasons, not a lot of people fixed their divots though. Most fairways were well kept. There was a hole that there were 2 coyotes just hanging out on the side of the fairway. Pretty cool.
Nice Track!
7:00am Tee Time Clear And Cool and Damp Conditions
Hey, it’s late in the year in So Cal. Maintenance Workers all over this course, out of the way and courteous. We let them know how good this track is kept! A few narrow fairways, raked bunkers, no rakes lateral play and awesome greens!
Good speed for aggressive putters. Overall great day and will definitely be back. Remember to hit your ball where you could find it! Mikelman41
Classic.
I will go out of my way to make this my primary Golf Course.
Enjoyed it!
Nice course. I’m very good shape. Good mix of accessible holes, narrow fairways, water hazards and choices to make re: elevation/decline. Course knowledge is at a premium. Love driving range right near pro shop & first tee.
Nice course for a private country club
Decent course with country club experience at a public price. Narrow fairways and fast greens, so tough for golfers that don't consistently hit straight. Overall nice experience.
Great but slow
Great course, 3rd time playing here. the foursome in front of us were horrible and not ready golf. Just shy of a 5 hr round.
If not for those donkeys the course is great. Some of the greens were a little beat up from people like that not fixing their divots.
But all in all 3rd time playing here and love it.
Staff is great and majority of everyone is great.
Hate covid!!
Fun, difficult, yet beautiful course.
This place is great with its changing elevations and they make it look secluded like you're no longer in South Whittier. Difficult course, but very fun and very good to play on.
I saw two sleeping Coyotes on a rough off a fairway. Cool.
Good course. Nice round
This was my first round at this course. I have no complaints. Staff was very nice. I had noon tee time. When I checked in, I was told my group was on tee a little early. I could hurry and join them or take my time and play solo. I took my time and played by myself which is nice for some extra practice on approach shots and shots around the green.
The course is one that winds thru a residential neighborhood and makes the most of the limited space they have. Narrow, tree lined fairways right next to each other. This is not my favorite type of course, but it was in good shape and I enjoyed my round.
I'm sure I will play it again sometime, but I will look for a better deal. I paid $69 with cart, which is okay, but there are hundreds of courses in the area that are a better value imo.
They have a cool gadget on their flagsticks that enable you to remove your ball from the hole by using your putter to pull up a lever that lifts the ball from bottom of hole... no Styrofoam in the holes here. I texted a video of me using this gadget to my golf buddies. Unfortunately the video is too large to load here
