Fun afternoon
First time here, never played a 12 hole course before but it was fine. Conditions a little scruffy but maybe time of year? All in all good value and pace of play great.
Great Plzce.
Really enjoyed this course. Great shape and liked the layout.. Everything is in great condition. Will return soon.
Off to yucca during overseeding
The greens are nice
The setting is nice
Fairways are okay
Rough is bad
Couldn’t find 3 balls that were maybe 10 yards off fairway
Great value and friendly course
It's soggy until about 9am and then firms up really quickly...nice course to play with some risks if you stray off the fairways...the staff are really helpful and friendly...Best value for golf in the area
Value
For a 12 hole course it's not bad.
Although when I played the price was $57.
In looking for next week the same course is now $43 through Golf Now?
Overall the course is nice.
Always a Fun Day
Great way to escape the desert heat and enjoy golf in October. Fun little course and in decent shape. Greens are like walking on memory foam, but very playable. Excellent prices on beverages. Wildlife sighting included hawks and a bobcat!
I usually really like this place but they only had 6 holes open and didn’t warn us or reduce the price
Reseeding
I had no idea when I hooked it on golf now they only had 6 holes open so you played them 3x bc they are reseeding
I wouldn't have driven 35 miles to do that.
Home Course
Where to begin? This is a beautiful course with some amazing views and wildlife. The staff is ultra friendly, very knowledgeable and accommodating. The greens are softer than the lower desert courses (I prefer them this way) and overall they take very good care of the fairways. If you play early AM expect some wet/muddy areas but that clears up by afternoon. There’s also a driving range here, so get your practice in before hand. Hoping that one day they add lights to the range 🤞 that would be fantastic. Also, stop by the restaurant for some delicious breakfast or lunch!
Meh
This course is constantly in need of maintenance. If they do one thing right, they neglect another. Its pretty annoying since its one of only two golf courses in the high desert.
The owner raised prices over the last year, so where is the benefit? The greens aren't rolled and there are so many dead spots and bumps, its ridiculous. I'll be heading down to the lower desert more often. Sorry, Hawks, but get it together.
Nice course and helpful/friendly staff. Played the 18 for the first time and we had a good time. Some greens were a bit rough but nothing is unplayable, overall the course is nice and has a good layout. Coming back multiple times for sure this summer 🏌️♂️
Beautiful course, great staff
Got an early morning tee time and it was perfect. Staff at the club house were great and the course was in great condition. 10/10 recommend
Really nice!
I’ll be back, especially when it’s too hot down in the Coachella Valley.
Yucca valley and the high desert are cooler, like 15 degrees cooler. Plus it’s drier at this 3400 ft elevation.
Fun golf . And excellent food and drinks.
Used to be a great value
Course is fine. They have struggled to keep the greens in good shape lately. Specifically #7 has been bad for two seasons. A lot of ball marks on the greens. This course used to be a great value, but they have raised rates. Not worth it to me to play a Muni when you can play a top notch course in Palm Springs or Palm Desert for the same price. They changed their twilight times and rates so it's no longer a good value. Range is ok because it's covered, but even there the balls are not great. Guaranteed to get a few balls with chunks missing and / or worn out without dimples. Staff inside have always been cool
Worth the drive!
::Very friendly staff, from the pro shop to the bar and restaurant, to the maintenance guys.
:: The course looks great , although number 7 green is bumpy- but I’ve noticed improvement on number 7 so it’s getting better by the week.
::Pace of play moves right along. If you finish 12 holes and want to play 6 more, check with the starter because she’ll direct you to either #1 or , perhaps #7. Whichever is more open.
:: Great restaurant and bar! Really the food is superior.
I first played this course in 1981, and I’ve always enjoyed coming to the high desert. This current version, remodeled 8 or 10 years ago, is the best yet overall.
Great value
Great course for the money. Could use some course maintenance. A few greens are in pretty rough condition.
