About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Nice course
This course was in very good condition for a hot summer day. The greens were in good condition - they were only degraded by some ball marks previous golfers didn't bother to repair. Staff is always very pleasant.

This is one of my favorite local courses. Staff is always friendly and the course is in good shape. The greens, especially were in much better shape than other courses I’ve been playing. (They’d be close to perfect if people would repair their ball marks, but that’s not the course’s fault.)

Great round
Great experience. Great layout and service. I was a single they matched up with a group when I arrived starter and course ranger were seen several times durning the round and kept pace of play moving well all day. Greens were great and course was easy to navigate because I had never played here before. A+
Nice course poor clubhouse staff
Day started off good with the starter and golf cart guy but changed rapidly inside the clubhouse.Rude person who showed no interest in working let alone any Customer service.
The course itself is in good condition and the greens were above average. Some of the tee boxes needed some work along with the car parts but did not take away from the enjoyment of playing golf there. Not the best place to Play if you have a fade let alone any type of slice as some of the tee boxes are tree lined and narrow and you have to keep it straight to make the fairway. The pace of play was good and our foursome Finished in in under four hours. We did not see the cart girl except on hole number one but there are plenty of water coolers located at the tee boxes.
Nice afternoon of golf but what sticks out the most is the bad feeling I got when I left the clubhouse after interacting with the person working behind the counter.
Better customer service in the clubhouse would go a long way and make going there more enjoyable

Fairways
Fairways need a lot of help. Lots of areas with no grass just bare ground. Greens were mostly acceptable with few weeds.

Nice round, first time at course
Towne Lake Hills is a challenging course, especially if you haven't played it before. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it- I did, it was tough but fair overall. It's just very unforgiving if you find yourself off the fairway or primary rough, as the woods are thick and OB is everywhere with the houses all along the course. A lot of the fairways are so sloped it's extremely difficult for them to hold even good drives.
Fairways & greens were in excellent shape. A lot of the tee boxes really need help.
Staff was friendly & accommodating. Would play again.

Challenging Course
Greens were close to perfect condition. Bunkers were well maintained. The fairways had few spots with no grass but understandable. Staff were very friendly. It is quite a long course and challenging. Highly recommendable.

Town Lake review
Town Lake is a challenging layout with undulating fairways and quick greens. Pace was unusually slow to to a morning tournament. Staff was accommodating as usual ….al staff professional and friendly
