Towne Lake Hills Golf Club

Towne Lake Hills is a good course. I haven't played here in 6 mos or so but found a chance to play here today and was pleased with the course, the guys I was paired up with and my play.

It seems that greens were somewhat recently aerated but I bet they will be in excellent shape in a couple weeks. Today was cart path only do to recent storms but the course drained well as I hardly noticed. They are in process of repairing/replacing several sections on the cart path. Obviously hopeful it'll get done soon but I was told this at the start so wasn't an issue and nice seeing a course make updates such as this even if not finished yet.

Without hesitation I give the course high marks. I've played here before and will certainly be back again soon.

This is by far the worst condition I have seen this golf course in. The edges around the fairways were mostly sand or rock with roots of trees sticking out and uncovered everywhere.

The pace of play was excellent but the fairways have barely started growing in which gave you close to hardpan lies in a lot of the the fairways. The cheated part starts with the greens were aerated/punched & this was not noted on Golfnow website. I'm figuring they didn't tell Golfnow. The worst was playing the first 9 (started on #10) in about 1hr. 50-55 mins. We drive over to #1 & there is a high school match starting up. We had to drive through to #4 to get clear of this mess. I called the Proshop & told them & at first they said the high school match was going off #1. I reminded them that they had us start on #10 so shouldn't the HS match do the same since the earlier paying groups would be making the turn. It took saying this a few times before they realized their error & all they said was"sorry about that" without making any effort to correct the problem. I hate to say it but with that kind indifference to customer service/satisfaction I don't believe we will play there again!

I know we’re just coming out of winter, but the course condition was not great. I like this course, but there are a lot of spots on the course that are not favorable. Hopefully it’ll get In shape as we get into spring. Staff, clubhouse, and food are terrific.

The grass is still dormant and the greens had recently been punched. It is a good layout and fun to play. It is better when it is fully green. The staff is very good.

The course was tough (with windy conditions). The greens were slow and had been recently aerated. It was nice that the fairways had yardage markers that help gave an idea of distance. The cart paths are in need of some major overhaul and the golf carts could be updated. Had a flat tire at #2 tee box. Overall my son and I give the course a 4 just because of the time of the year and conditions. Hope to play it later in the year. Only saw the snack cart once at #2 and never came back around.

Should have been a heads up that there was no grass except on the greens. It was also cart path only as to preserve the brown grass?

I would normally recommend this course but conditions are fair and not worth the $$ currently

Course has no grass in fair ways. Cart path is horrible needs all kind of work. Lay out is good but be sure you hit to the right side of fair ways. Would recommend the course.

Very beautiful course, well maintained, staff friendly is excellent, I played with a group of ladies they were just great company, course is kind a tough, I played from the senior tees and the slope rating was 133 but the course was very enjoyable, I would recommend that to anyone

Warm February day. No complaints. Course should be nice come spring and summer.

Played on a saturday and paid full price after reading a few reviews and came out i was very disappointed the greens i quit putting on after 4-5 holes they were not blown off that morning that made it impossible to putt unless you spent 5-10 minutes clearing a path through the junk! if you’re gonna be open and charge people full price make sure the course is ready or else offer a discount!

We arrived at noon at what a beautiful day it was. The carts were ready, we loaded the golf bags, grabbed a snack and drink from the bar and off we went. The tees and greens were in great condition for January. Unfortunately is was cart path only; however, we definitely got our steps in. This course proves how important course management is. I found many of the holes you could tee off with a 3 wood or a 4 iron, leaving a 115 - 140 shot into the green. This course was challenging and still fun. It also has some great views for a subdivision course.

A couple negative experiences:

1.The carts we used did not have working USB connections (they were rusted out).

2. There are a few locations along the cart path where the concrete was really busted up and possibly dangerous. These areas really need to be leveled and repaired.

Overall this is a wonderful course and I’m looking forward to our next visit.

Greens were rolling wellpace o f play was pretty good.
