Towne Lake Hills Golf Club

Could only play 9 holes bc pace of play was so slow. Waited on every tee box and took 2 hours and 40 minutes to get through the front 9. Course wouldn’t give any sort of rain check or anything for the 9 holes we were unable to play due to incredibly slow pace of play. Very disappointing.

Not long but hilly lies make it challenging. Play blues if you have decent distance. Greens were real nice and rolled true. Got stuck behind a senior league that tees off at 10 On Wednesdays. Do not get behind them. Not only were they rude but my weekday round was 5 hours long. I guess being member entitled them to play as slow as possible. Overall good experience, staff was friendly practice areas were good, course was in good shape for November. Just wish the ranger that drove around did something other than just wave at people.

The course is in pretty good condition. There are a few tee boxes that are thin but the greens are in excellent shape and the fairways are very good too. The folks running the show are very nice and they have a range and practice area.

There are some holes that will test your ball control skills which makes it fun.

The course is in great condition with fast greens. They book each tee time 9 minutes apart. So it is busy and any slow group will slow every one down. They should space the groups out to every 15 minutes

Towne Lake was a good course to play. We got caught in traffic and were a few minutes late late and they were able to accommodate us, and even though we got sent out as a twosome behind a foursome, pace was good. Unfortunately people don't fix pitch marks so the greens were quite bumpy in spots (I missed a birdie putt because my ball just came to rest on a dip 2 inches before of the cup), and some teeboxes were muddy because of the recent rains, but the fairways were in great shape. The front 9 is extremely difficult and it demands utmost accuracy, there's a lot of blind shots and elevation changes. The back 9 plays a lot easier and I had a lot of fun.

3rd time i have played here in 2021. Two of the three times we have left after 4+ hours waiting. My partner and i decided to drive in and quit this time after we reached the 16th tee box, and there was a 4some waiting to tee off, 4 in the fairway, and 4 on the green. This was 4 hours into our round and as we drove to the clubhouse every hole was the same...why?? There was a group of 8 old men on the green who were playing for money and held everyone else up that day. The front desk guy said "ill try and fix this"...looked at the screen for 30 seconds then said "there is nothing i can do. This course is way overpriced ($6 reservation fee...$70 for greens and small range ball) for an "ok" course, pace of play is always terrible. Very much stuck in the late 90's and needs a facelift, avoid it unless you need to be away from home for atleast 6 hours

Miss the fairway by 10 feet or so, your ball is GONE. Bring lots of golf balls with you. I hit my wedge to a green above me a little (blind approach) STRAIGHT to the flag and should have been the right distance struck really well, go up to the green...THE BALL IS LOST!!!!!!!!!!! The cart paths and areas next to the cart path are god awful, my back is hurting from the bumpy cart paths and severely eroded areas immediately off the path. Greens and fairways are very nice. Tee boxes were due for a mow, the grass was at least an inch high. For the money, I don't think I'll ever play here again.

Love the course layout. Pace of play was horrible. They jammed the course with players, clearly a money play. 5:40 round…Greens were very receptive but very slow. Nobody replaces ball marks, must have fixed 75 throughout the round. Some tee boxes were in rough shape. Rangers are nice but basically useless.

Great course

Marshall keep pace of play Great but we did not play slow as no one was waiting on us the group in front of us played fast and was a head of us by a hole or two .

We stopped for rr break at 9 and got drinks 2 from the cart girl.

We were told to catch up to many times

If we were slow I could understand

Only complaint other than the one of the best courses and would highly recommend this course

Worst managed course in Atlanta. Pace of play is abysmal. No one cares. You call the pro shop, ask for a Marshall, no one shows up. Took us an hour 40 minutes to play five holes. Gave up after nine. Not coming back.

First off, the course conditions were very good and looked forward to playing this track. On hole number 3 we caught up with the foursome in front of us. Not only were they slow, but they were hitting multiple shots off the tee and fairway. . Like a practice round for the pros, but these guys were pretty bad. On number 4 which is a par 3, we hit our tee shots to the green and when arriving at the green they were still messing around getting in their carts. They just looked at us and laughed. We caught up with them again on number 5 and waited forever for them to tee off. Asked to play through on 6 and were ignored. We gutted it out and played nine which took almost 3 hours. Asked for rain check which the course provided (thanks I guess) and indicated our displeasure with the foursome. They seemed indifferent. Apparently this semi-private club has its head in the clouds. Will not be going back.

Good course, challenging sloping fairways.

Excellent staff, friendly, most helpful.

Restaurant was excellent.

Players need to fix pitch marks in the greens or maintenance needs to assist at the end of the day. For such good looking greens, none of them were smooth.

Also was harassed by a Marshall on the 9th hole for being “3minutes behind” even though we had not seen a group behind us for 4 holes.

Not sure I will spend the money for that experience again.
