About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Nice course
Aside from my playing, which was off, nice course. Was a last minute decision. Paired with a great group.
Group in front of us was a little slow.
Course was in good condition (and I got to see a lot of it)

Great outing
Guys at counter was friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Walked around in the clubhouse and I purchased a pair shoes
I invited 2 friends to come out and join me for the afternoon
We had a fun round. good to see the Marshalls riding around checking the Pace of play
I was glad to see my friends having a good time
After the round we had dinner in the clubhouse and the food was delicious

SINGLE GOLFERS NO LONGER WELCOME
This once grand course has now decided to penalize the single golfer by charging him/her 25-50% more for their tee time simply because they are a single golfer. No longer will this course allow a single golfer to reserve a tee time via Golf Now. You must call the pro shop and pay their premium greens fee. When I asked the head pro/manager why they were penalizing single golfers he hung up on me. I am a small business owner. I have no way to "coordinate" a round of golf with other players. If I can go play I know a couple hours in advance and I go play. After playing this course many dozen times, I will never play this course again. SHAME ON YOU TOWNE LAKE!!!!!!
Great Day on the Course
Nice layout. Pace of play could be better, but we got in at about 4:15-4:20. Will definitely go back and play again.

Hasn’t adjusted for COVID
Great course but no carts. Had to wait past tee time to get one. Also if you want a separate cart to maintain safe from Covid, the course charged an extra $20. That should be communicated someplace. Also the starter didn’t have a clue. He kept asking the same question over and over. Nice course, good deal but hasn’t adjusted to Covid. There are many courses that have. I will wait until they figure it out to return.

Disjointed
I showed up an hour before my tee time. Met with the starter and was told that the course was double booked so I had to play the back first. When I made the turn there were 3 groups waiting to go out on the front.

Course is challenging and requires proper placement on many holes. Be sure and pick the correct tee for your game.

Great value!
This is one of the best kept courses around for a public course. Tee box to green the course was in great shape. Greens rolled true and appeared the bunkers were all recently raked. Great value for a hot deal on golf now.

Overall it was good
With Demand outpacing supply of tee times courses can charge more than usual. Good course but not so sure it’s worth $70/person with range balls. The carts need to be replaced. We had essentially no brakes. The people were great range is good and pace was on point.
