About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Good Round
got the first round out on a very cool (36 degrees) Sunday morning. We were hoping for a sub 4 hour round, but it was cart path only (not sure why as by 10 am it was getting dry) and since there was heavy rain earlier in the week the the rough was not mowed or the leaves were not blown off. Thus finding golf balls was tough (even in the fairway). The deer were out in full force and they need to wear soft spikes!

Week End Golf
TLH is a good course for average golfer and a challenging course for beginners. It is maintained well and the staff is very friendly as well as helpful. Although I am an average golfer, I have played on many outstanding golf courses in the US and Europe and my comments are from that reference point. TLH is in close proximity to where I live so I will continue to play at this course..

Towne Lake 10/9/19
Course in great shape, pace a little slow, we were following a Wed morning group, but that did no detract from a great of golf. Played with my wife and only had one argument, memorable occasion.

Towne Lake golf outing
Was a great day with friendly staff throughout! Only comment is greens need some help with so many ball marks on greens ...so maybe further reminders will help. Will definitely be back !

TLH Golf Course
Good golf course for a last minute golfing decision. It is pricy for golfing. It is not busy and the round moves ar a good pace.
TLH club could increase the price attractiveness to get better use of the course.

Good decision
Played on labor day and got round in at the 4 hr mark.

Nice but tricky
A nice course. Good value for the money. Layout is a bit tricky if you haven’t played it before as shots definitely require planning due to the layout with lots of changes in elevation.

Course play
If you have 5 hours to spare then this is the course for you , very very slow play , causing other golfers to hit into your play while waiting on others , not much help from rangers
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Towne Lake Round
Today my son & I played the course starting in early afternoon. It was 92 degrees & humid,, played in 3 hrs, both of us shot in 70's from blue tees.The course was in good shape. Fairways,tees, and greens were in excellent shape. This was probably the 20th time we've played there and as always enjoyed the fairness & challenge.

Great Course
Course is in great condition. Layout on a few holes is odd, but for overall holes set up to challenge reward versality in your game. Rewards good shots and penalizes bad shots but usually not enough to deter you from taking risks. Allows you to go for it more often.
