About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Terrible
This place is terrible. Staff is unfriendly and pretentious. Course is ok but very poorly kept. Price should be in the $20s to make it worth it.

Great Course
Tee boxes and overall pace of play are the only minor downsides to this otherwise perfectly good golf course.

Aeration...
First and foremost. The greens have been very recently aerated. This was NOT indicated on the app when we were booking these rounds. Not sure if that is on the app or on the course, but players should always be notified, as this changed the golf experience. Overall, the fairways were in good shape, but the tee boxes were very poor. Some most likely due to the early season weather we have had. Staff very friendly, pace of play slow, but mostly due to the group in front with poor etiquette. Would not have played if there had been a notification of aeration, even at the hot deal price.

No warning about course conditions until we showed up
Have played this course in the past and loved it. Super disappointed this time around. Had booked on GolfNow for 18 holes, had no idea until we showed up that they had closed the front 9 for aeration. Decided to play the back 9 twice only to find out they had already aerated the back, greens almost unputtable. After 9 holes, parking lot had filled up, way too much golf traffic with only 9 holes available. We asked for a refund for 9 holes, clubhouse attendant very polite and took care of it, but the rate for the 9 holes we played was ridiculous for the course condition. May return later in the season when they've got the course put back together again.

Course was in pretty good condition considering current situation. Disappointed they didnt tell us, before we made our tee time, the course and just been "punched" and top dressed two days earlier.
Pro shop said they would give a rain check or a refund. But we were there now and ready to play and disappointed when we learned about the aeration. Wish we could have know before making tee time to be given the chance to play some other course that hadn't "just been aerated"

Great golf course
Great starter, pace of play and layout. Played the day of and the day after aeration.I have never seen a green look and play so good the day of and after an aeration.

Love This Course
I love this track, and the staff friendly for the most part. I wrote "poor" for pace of play, but due to circumstances beyond their control. An early morning frost delay caused all times up until 10:00 a.m. to go with a shotgun start. With a 10:45 of own, we crawled, waited on just about every shot..a 5 hour round. That said, this was a one-timer, I'll go again in a heartbeat.

Amazingly after all of the rain we experienced the course was not cart path only. It is in great condition for February.

Friendly staffs
We were the only players due to the rain forecast, and there were few snow spots.
But the ground crews were very friendly and nice. We finished the round in 2.5 hrs.
The expected rain came on the way home.
