About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Good decision
Played on labor day and got round in at the 4 hr mark.

Nice but tricky
A nice course. Good value for the money. Layout is a bit tricky if you haven’t played it before as shots definitely require planning due to the layout with lots of changes in elevation.

Course play
If you have 5 hours to spare then this is the course for you , very very slow play , causing other golfers to hit into your play while waiting on others , not much help from rangers
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Towne Lake Round
Today my son & I played the course starting in early afternoon. It was 92 degrees & humid,, played in 3 hrs, both of us shot in 70's from blue tees.The course was in good shape. Fairways,tees, and greens were in excellent shape. This was probably the 20th time we've played there and as always enjoyed the fairness & challenge.

Great Course
Course is in great condition. Layout on a few holes is odd, but for overall holes set up to challenge reward versality in your game. Rewards good shots and penalizes bad shots but usually not enough to deter you from taking risks. Allows you to go for it more often.

Hills
Course was in good condition, fairways good greens good shape but could be a little faster. Club house full of current merchandise, restaurant friendly and food was good

The gold course is in good condition but the greens are starting to stress due to the high heat but still good.

Back from winter
Course is back in form. Fairways in good shape. Greens were nice too. Played during winter when course conditions weren't nearly as nice. Couple of tee boxes need help (trees trimmed to allow grass to get sun). Spring has sprung at Towne Lake Hills.
